Churches are not allowed to be political and keep their 501C status.

Here's how to report them:

I found this information on reddit after a bit of digging around and used it a few days ago.

The church down the street has taken down their sign..

Dude, watch on Youtube. I did.
No, he knows it works.

He also knows that black churches engage in electioneering all the damn time. Way, WAY more than white ones do.

Analyzing the Social Political Activism of the Black Church in Light of the Two-Kingdoms Motif

The only churches in the white American community that are so explicitly political, is the evangelical/dominion ideology.

The fact is, just the other day I heard a hit piece on NPR targeted at Opus Dei, which is not explicitly political as most of the Black Churches are.

Likewise, this whole topic is a canard, and in complete violation of the First Amendment. It was initiated by the Johnson Administration and geared to be an explicit attack on his political opponents.

It does not matter if a Church or Religious organization files a 501c with the IRS or not, they are, by explicit language in the Constitution, TAX FREE.

They don't need to incorporate, and thus, don't even need to register or deal with the IRS if they don't want. . . they are already exempt.

The only reason most churches DO incorporate, is to protect themselves legally from tort lawsuits.

Crep's blind hatred of God and country blinds him to the truth of the Constitution though.

It is all explained in this good read, if you are interested.

THANK YOU!!!!!

Would electionerring include inviting candidates to a church potluck and give a speech? It is traditional here in the south.
The electioneering the OP is talking about looks like this. Odd they didn't use a similar example.

"Pastor Jamal Bryant said the vice president was “an American hero, the voice of the future” and “our fearless leader.” He also used his sermon to welcome the idea of America electing a woman for the first time as president. “It takes a real man to support a real woman,” Bryant said.

“When Black women roll up their sleeves, then society has got to change,” the pastor said."

What did the sign say?

I was playing a fund raiser (I forget what it was for but it was raising money for something other than Politics) and they had to allow 5 Politicians to do a 5 minute speech each because a Radio Station allowed free air time to one Politician. It was required that free time had to be universal in Texas. It's not only a tradition but it's the law.
