I am still reading through this but i heard a long time ago that the water in ethanol gas separates out and then can rust parts inside your engine.. I read this in some book on engines... cannot recall but was a magazine in a waiting area somewhere long ago..... a reputable source, though.. that's the only kind I read.

Most newer cars can run on ethanol, but they will get worse mileage. Classic cars need additives.
