People can easily save if they simply earn more than they spend. It's a simple math problem, and may mean that a person would have to go without certain things which many people take for granted.

I do believe, though, that having excessive children is a cause of many people living paycheck to paycheck, so it may be better for some people not to have children until they are able to save and invest.
