Ok so to be clear you want a total dictatorship. Amazing that you are such a paranoid hypochondriac that you are so willing to give up your freedomOK Mr Answerman ---- We lock the US down for 3 weeks on the 4th week international travel resumes and so does the virus, So do we eliminate all travel to and from the USHave you ever seen a standard CDC death certificate. There only 4 lines to list the cause of death. One line is the immediate cause of death and one is underlying cause. The other two lines list the condition that lead up to the underlying cause. The CDC considers the death a covid-19 death if Covid is listed as the immediate cause or the underlying cause. You're almost as cavalier about Covid deaths as Trump. There have been almost twice as many US deaths due to Covid-19 than all the US combat deaths in every US military engagement since WWII. Covid-19 is like 9/11 everyday for 72 todays. And what does our fearless leader have to say about it. "It is what it is".I think you're missing something, most of the transmission of virus is coming from Americans, not foreigners entering the US. Tourism into the US is down by over 85%. The only way we can reduce the increasing number of cases and deaths is a massive effort on the part of the federal, state, and local government to increase our efforts to stop the transmission of virus. That should be top priority of both the current and new administration. With or without a vaccine, we going to looking at 400,000 to 500,000 deaths by next year this time unless there are significant changes in preventing the transmission. That is if you don't like seeing people die and would like the coronavirus to go away. This approach would also have the added benefit of ridding us of the flu, common cold and who knows how many other contagious diseases. For this idea to work we would have to get the other nations on board. Tell people that they have two months from whatever date to prepare for another lock down. A REAL one this time. Like a REAL quarantine. The next lock down would last for three weeks. In two months time there should be no problem in getting enough supplies to last for three weeks. It wouldn't or shouldn't empty out store shelves like happens in places where people find out a hurricane will soon be arriving. And stores would be able to prepare too. Not having food rotting on their shelves. Some crops may rot in the fields. But some things can't be avoided.
Then when the time arrives for the next lock down, shut down EVERYTHING! Except for places like hospitals or electric generating plants. Also, stop ALL travel between cities. Except for people who work at the places I mentioned or other necessary personnel. Sure. It would suck. But after three weeks, you could kiss having to wear a mask good by. You could kiss the idea of getting a flu or coronavirus vaccine good by. And restaurants could pack in customers like sardines. And any economic woes after that could no longer be blamed on the coronavirus. But if you don't want any of this to happen, just vote for Trump. We will then see how many more hundreds of thousands will die.
Locking down the country will certainly reduce the number cases but unless there is a change in behavior of the country, transmission will shoot back up when the lock down is released. Even when shutdown the country, the virus will continue to spread among family members and close friends because there is a large number asymptomatic people.
IMHO, the right approach is to convince the public to take prevention more seriously. That might require some coercion but that will not eradicate the virus. That ship sailed over 6 months ago but we certainly reduce the number of cases, illness, and deaths. The idea is to save as many lives as possible until we reach herd immunity by means of the vaccine which will probably be 1 to 2 years.
"With or without a vaccine, we going to looking at 400,000 to 500,000 deaths by next year this time unless there are significant changes in preventing the transmission. "
Gads, you're brainless.
How many people die of all causes in an average year?
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were 2,813,503 registered deaths in the United States in 2017. The age-adjusted death rate, which accounts for the aging population, is 731.9 deaths per 100,000 people in the U.S. This is an increase of 0.4% over 2016's death rate.

How many actually die of the Wuhan?
The Left made it impossible to know.....
"—deaths attributed to COVID-19. As we've learned in recent weeks, those numbers are exaggerated as many medical professionals have overstated them by falsely claiming coronavirus in cases where coronavirus had nothing to do with the death. It is also telling that the provisional death rates, which most use in place of known deaths, include those who are "suspected" of having COVID-19 even if a test was not administered before or after death.
It's understandable that mainstream media and Democrats do not want this information known because it would eliminate the need for locking down the nation, at least for those under 50-years-old. "

I'm actually surprised you are able to post, what with the constant hand-wringing and all.....
The real problem is that so many of these deaths were unnecessary. The US has 20% of the Covid-19 deaths in the world and only 4% of the population; that is we have 5 times as many deaths relative to our population. Assuming America's ability to fight the virus was no better than the rest of the world, our number of deaths should be 1/5 or about 42,000. However, it should have been a lot lower than that because according to John Hopkins, the US was the best prepared nation in the world to deal with the virus. Of course they didn't consider the Trump factor.
The reason why the US has failed so badly compared to the rest of world falls squarely on the national leadership. Countries that have been so successful, took the virus very seriously. Almost the same day in late February, that Donald Trump was mocking the doomsday crowd and declaring the virus was just Flu, South Korea's President Moon Jai-in was was telling his people that coronavirus was the greatest threat to the country since the Korean War. He told his people to expect random testing/contact tracing/quarantining in every city and town, closing and quartering any school or business with the virus. By March 1st their military was called up. They began testing in all transportation center, in every city and town and temperature checks on almost every street corner through out the country. Business and schools were required to temperature check every person that entered. Today, South Korea with a population of over 60 million has had a total of 443 deaths. There unemployment is half of the US unemployment rate and almost every business and school is operating normally. There are many examples of other countries that took the virus seriously and followed a prevention plan and there were many such as US, Brazil, and a number in Europe that did not. The deaths and number of cases tell the story of success and failure.
No there haven't.
You simply fell for the scam......bet you fell for every one of 'em since 2016.
To damage Trump, the numbers of both infected and of deaths, had to be inflated.
And, they were:
“COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death. Certifiers should include as much detail as possible based on their knowledge of the case, medical records, laboratory testing, etc.,” the guidance continued.
“If the decedent had other chronic conditions such as COPD or asthma that may have also contributed, these conditions can be reported in Part II.”
Is The Number of Deaths Due To COVID-19 Being Inflated, And, If So, Why? | NewsRadio 740 KTRH | Michael Berry
“…the number of reported Covid-19-related deaths is the number of reported Covid-19-related deaths. Reported does not mean actual. Like the number of men who admit that they like Sex on the Beach (the drink and not the act), the number of reported deaths from a disease is typically lower than the actual number. Moreover, the study did not include people who were already sick with Covid-19 during the study time period but passed away after April 29.
Additionally, the study lumped everyone who tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus together and did not separate them out by disease severity or even whether they had symptoms. There may be big differences between being exposed to a relatively small amount of the virus and being exposed to a large amount of the virus. Moreover, who knows how the transmission of the virus and the death rate could be changing over time.” What Is The Death Rate For Covid-19 Coronavirus? What This Study Found
As long as they could produce a panic......that's all that counted.
The chances of you dying from the Wuhan are practically zero......no more than a rounding error.
Now....about this Democrat lock-down to destroy Trump's economic miracle, Hill reporter Joe Consha said the following on Fox. 10/6:
"The CDC said that between the ages of zero and 19, 99.97% of people survive the Wuhan.
....between 20 and 45, 99.98%
....between 50 and 65, 99.5%
....and over 70, about 95%.
Certainly doesn't appear that any shutdown was necessary.
But Democrats don't care the damage they do in their thirst for power.
Most of the covid death cases are very straightforward. The lungs are usually so severely involved with the pathology, they are two to three times or more the normal weight of a normal lung. A CT Scan of the lungs shows this very clearly. For a person with covid who dies from other causes, this is not the case. In rare cases, the chain of medial events and the condition of lungs are not sufficient for the doctor to make the call so it is referred to the medical examiner.
Both undercounts and overcounts of COVID-19 deaths are possible, but it's not clear which is more likely, or whether they might simply balance each other out. However, one thing is definite, the cases in question would be a rather small percent of the total covid-19 deaths in the US.
How are COVID-19 deaths counted?
Most COVID-19 deaths are easy to diagnose, but sometimes the immediate cause of death is not so clear, leading to accusations of politically-motivated falsification of death certificates.www.livescience.com
Let's see.....I provided links showing that every death is to be attributed to the Wuhan.
I provided data showing that the inflated number is constantly broadcast to increase panic.
I provided data showing data that the chances of dying of the Wuhan are near zero.
But....you're prepared with the usual camp follower's "is not, issssssss nooooottttttt!!!"
Carry on.
How about providing some links to sites that say that human caused global warming is a hoax. That's good for a laugh too.
Why?
I just proved an expert in the field who provided the truth.
The only way his 'apology' would have been any better would have been if he named you and included "fool."
You showed what an expert in stupidity had to say. But that isn't the point of this thread. Getting rid of the coronavirus is. Anything that can be done to get rid of it is worth the effort in doing. Now, agree or disagree all you like.
It wouldn't be the 4th week. It would be the end of the 3rd week. And until the virus is gone, no air travel would be allowed from countries where it isn't gone. And if they got on board with my plan, it would be gone from those countries. Neither could any passenger from a country where it isn't gone travel to a country where it is gone and continue on to the U.S. from there. If some country doesn't want the virus gone, then fuck'em! They don't need to come here. And anybody here doesn't need to go there.
Freedom to kill people isn't a freedom that any individual should have. Or corporate America in general. Though coroporate America has had the freedom to do that for a long time. And have done so.
"Freedom to kill people isn't a freedom that any individual should have. "
So you never heard of abortion?
A fetus isn't a person. And even if you wanted to consider it to be one, the worst that it could be viewed as is a mercy killing. After all, who in the fuck needs them. There are plenty of illegals willing to come here and do whatever job they may have done for cheaper. That is what jobs that haven't already been sent to places like China for that purpose.
Vulgarity.
Your attempt to hide the fact that you know your post is a lie.
Provide the etymology....
fetus (n.)
late 14c., "the young while in the womb or egg" (tending to mean vaguely the embryo in the later stage of development), from Latin fetus (often, incorrectly, foetus) "the bearing or hatching of young, a bringing forth, pregnancy, childbearing, offspring,"

Where did your research come from, Mr. Kotter’s class?
What would you prefer I say. "Gosh darn needs them?" Stop being such a prude. But feel free to report me to the mods anyway. That is if you haven't already. Because it would be being kind to call them filthy scumbags. With dontazemebro leading the way. Now here's some more reality. A fetus isn't a person. It is a fetus. That it might eventually become a person is meaningless. It is what it is. There are some other impressively moronic people out there who would say that a fetus becomes a person at conception. Are you one of them? But I don't really care. Because change the subject all you want, this thread still remains on how to get rid of the coronavirus. Over 225,000 people dying from it so far, and you apparently don't care. Some small number of fetus' gets mercy killed and somehow you care.
