Words like tyranny get thrown around so much on the right it has almost lost its meaning.

Yep. We've become so dependent on simplistic hyperbole that words mean almost nothing now. In this context, it's easily traceable: MAGA media is replete with terms like "tyranny" in describing the most arcane things, but they still work like a charm with the flock.

An element in our decay, and one of the reasons that fundamental communication in America has broken down. Worse, there's no reason to believe that we'll regain our communication/collaboration skills, because they may be like muscles: Use it or lose it.
