I though his first presser was a bit flippant, not enough facts to tell or place blame for its spread. I mean the H1N1 started here and we were not able to contain it and the CDC was right on top of it too. With the new virus getting such a head start, it's hard to say what response could have kept it at bay if any.

In truth, Obama's response to H1N1 is not relevant. The situations are not even similar.

Thus far I cannot see anything that the admin. has done that is not appropriate or anything they have botched. The hysteria over Corona Virus is asinine.

About the video of the Senate hearing, I'm at 117:00, and it's very complex, the senator Cassidy from Illinois is interrogating several cdc workers.
Oh, I forgot to post this. We're already 2 or 3 speakers later.. Mr. Hahn is answering a lot of quesitons, Senator Kane is asking about school closures (a few seconds later). Very many Senators are very interested that their areas are getting the very best of care.

I'm 1:45 minutes into the 2:30 ( 2 1/2 hours) video, and these Senators are really grilling and asking all sorts of questions on the safety of their state's citizens will be taken care of, etc.

They are saying (cdc managers and leaders) will need to increase some of the numbers of workers who will be involved in keeping Aemricans safe and well-cared for in a variety of tasks. They're planning a pandemic the likes of which are being seen in China, South Korea, and other areas around the globe that have been hit hard with massive infections of their cities and commumties. A sense of urgency is not having hysteria that would cause health-care providers too much stress. Not sure what this is all about there have been minor complaints by comparison to the House carryings on that were awfully partisan. This Senate is not that divided. They're working together and interacting closely with the cdc leadersship.

Nostra, I don't think the peopel above are paying much attention to the Senate hearing. It's 2.5 hours long, and I'm exactly at the second hour, and most of the Senators are communicating in a kindly way. It's coming to a conclusion at this point, and I think they will be allocating adequate funds for what needs to be done to keep the Coronavirus incidents low as possible, yet accommodate a lot of cases should things turn ugly quickly. The Senator from Washington State where they've lost a number of people already in such a few days, she's very concerned about her state's population losses. My heart goes out to all of them. Earlier today, I learned we have 4 cases outstanding, but if it's like the state of Washington, that will multiply in the next few days. Prayers up for all those who succumb to the disease and their dear families. Good night, everyone.
