How much are we drilling today, on November 6th, 2024?

I'm going with nuclear because of the extremely strong case that carbon emissions are heating up the planet and we don't like that <possibly insert sarcastic emoji here>. Or is the case not really that strong? If it's not, NG is a good way forward because it's a lot cleaner than coal and oil.

The only non-carbon method of energy production available to us right now is nuclear. Hydrogen is a good fuel source and plentiful, but difficult to concentrate and there are no industrial scale hydrogen power plants online yet, proving their worth. Nuclear is a known commodity.
A carbon trade would heavily incentivize nuclear power and provide a constant reliable revenue source.

That and reducing the time and cost to build new plants, yes.
