How many have experience this when texting a friend or family member?

Im sick of it.

If you always send a text knowing that you will never receive a full and satisfactory reply , you will never be disappointed or irritated .
Just validated .

Also restricting the number of people you truly regard as sane and trustworthy and also as friends to be absolute maximum at two , works very well .
Having an intelligent dog more than makes up for missing two legged nuisances . Talk to yourself and the dog .
And I recommend manipulating family into believing that living abroad is smart even if you have to lie and pretend to them that they are then missed . You can run that routine for years .

You send a text and when they respond they completely ignore what you text them and start a new topic? That happened to me with my friend yesterday and I decided to no longer sent her a text unless she sends me one. So for now on Im just responding. I sent her a text about a uber driver who wanted to be chatty early in the morning and when she responded she was talking about a job rejection letter she received. I was like..........."damm she just completely disregarded what I said about the uber driver". So Im done. And that is not the first time it happened and Im sick of it.
/—-/ Did you ask her what she thought, or just make a statement?
Sometimes it happens to me, but I don’t get bent out of shape. She may think you were just telling her story that doesn’t need a reply. It’s just your way of breaking the ice. So, she told you something that happened to her in reply.
It’s really not something to get pizzed about.

Writing full texts can mean more than one thing. Few can tolerate people who love talking about themselves. This ought to be obvious. Others are very good at writing and expressing themselves on a variety of subjects but not everyone likes to read and those who do may not be very good writers themselves.

But not everybody is like Bugger86 and Mucky Bum .
And Morticia is a classic exception .
With him it's like having a long meaningless chat with a Vietnamese Pot Bellied Porker .

Well you probably complain all the time on text like you do here and people are tired of it.

Maybe you are seeking companionship in the wrong places. If you feel you are considerd a nuisance you have to be careful not to become one.
she will notice the difference in how I text the rest of the month

What spikes my punch is when they want to do a three-syllable text and try to chain them together to make a statement.

The best advice I can give is to adjust your texting method that suits your honest feelings for yourself, not what sort of impression you want to make on her. Do what is best for you not what is worst for her.
