What is "Carter's malaise"? When do record corporate profits trickle down like Reagan promised? It's a simple question. Do record corporate profits ever trickle down to society or is that just "job creator" bullshit that gets fed to FOX-watching mouth-breathers so the 1% can keep their taxes low? When do billionaire job creators start creating jobs? Why doesn't trickle down theory work? And why do you Republicans keep insisting that it does?Progressives don't support Communism, Humanism is not Socialism, and Reaganomics doesn't work.
Progressives are communists, humanism and socialism are communism just new words. And yes free markets do work it's why you have enjoyed living under that system instead of Carter's malaise the last few decades.
What are you even talking about? Do you know what is going on in this country? Rich people have more money than ever before while 49 million Americans can't afford food each month. You say it's because they're buying drugs but it's actually because the majority of money on Earth is being hoarded by a relatively small fraction of the human population. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, and Carter have all been part of developing the system to its current state. We face Fascism in the US, not "Liberal Communism". Liberal doesn't actually mean Communist. You are entirely mistaken on that. But we do face Fascism which is a marriage of corporate and state power. We have had for some years now a government which rewards terrible behavior and issues pardons to the most heinous crimes (if those crimes are even brought before the public in the first place). HSBC confessed to laundering money for terrorist organizations that were killing American soldiers and the US Federal government accepted a fine that equaled two months' revenue for the bank- $1.9 billion. For funding terrorism against America. We the People were told that HSBC was "too big to fail". So we have a situation where the US Federal government refuses to prosecute TREASON because the corporate powers would crumble. If you aren't smart enough to actually pay attention to a country going the same route you are espousing for us to follow maybe you aren't the most qualified person to represent your group. Actually, there isn't anyone in your group smart or qualified. Communism requires stupid people to enact and then pay the final price for that stupidity. ****, guess that makes you the next democrat president elect.
It isn't. Next question.
Well, finally. So why is it you support the very same government moves in the USA that are proven failures?
I have a better next question. How do we avoid becoming Venezuela with our policies that are heading in the same direction?
I don't support the same policies in DC that didn't work in Caracas, but I also don't have the power to do much about it since I have no influence.
As to how we avoid being Venezuela writ large, the answer is we don't. Too many Americans who vote themselves a living think it'll be different and that the laws of economics just don't apply here. They're wrong, but c'est la vie.
Isn't this the regime in Venezuela that people like Sean Penn and Oliver Stone supported and as far as I know still do so passionately?
Congressman Jose Serrano (D-NY) took to Twitter to speak highly of the dictator. “Hugo Chavez was a leader that understood the needs of the poor,” he said. “He was committed to empowering the powerless. R.I.P. Mr. President.” Serrano also released a statement about Chavez's passing:
I met President Chavez in 2005 when he came to my district at my invitation. His focus on the issues faced by the poor and disenfranchised in his country made him a truly revolutionary leader in the history of Latin America.
Even today, people in North America seem unable to accept that Venezuelans had taken our admonitions to have democracy to heart and elected the leader of their choice. President Chavez was a controversial leader. He believed that the government of the country should be used to empower the masses, not the few. He understood democracy and basic human desires for a dignified life. His legacy in his nation, and in the hemisphere, will be assured as the people he inspired continue to strive for a better life for the poor and downtrodden.
Former congressman Joe Kennedy praised the dictator as a man who cared for America's poor even when "some of the wealthiest people on our planet have more money than they can ever reasonably expect to spend." Chavez donated about 200 million gallons of Venezuelan heating oil to Kennedy's organization Citizens Energy, who then distributed it to low-income Americans.

The rich are doing just fine. Who do you think is funding the US government? Whatever happens in this government happens for the benefit of the richest 1%. That should be the focus of your outrage, not single mothers working two minimum-wage jobs and still needing food stamps just to get by.

I get it. I'm just not so c'est la vie when their c'est la vie means I need to pay for it.

Toyota Motor Company shut down assembly. GM and Ford arenÂ’t assembling cars either, because they canÂ’t get parts. Inflation is at 50%. The TV stations are all now state controlled. Propaganda posters boast of socialist Venezuela, while there isnÂ’t even toilet paper to wipe their asses. Twitter was shut down the other day when it was being used to coordinate student protests against the government. Yet, useful idiots like Sean Penn and Danny Glover supported Chavez and the social revolution which has lead to this ruin.
How many times do we need to watch your failed policies come to life and die in front of our own eye's before you left wing idiots catch on?
Socialism and communism is a sure route to failure. Yet you keep promoting these same policies here. When the hell are you going to learn?

Telling a liberal that socialism doesn't work is like trying to tell a Muslim that 70 virgins are not really waiting for him after they fly a plane into the World Trade Center.

The tax break was never only for the top 1%, it was for everyone. And yes our economy boomed during that time. It created such an expansion of wealth even your best friend Clinton signed on to reducing the welfare state because there were jobs for people. Not that he created it but he rode the wave. Get over being jealous of rich people and make policies that give you the same opportunity. You can't take from others into prosperity, you have to earn it under a system that will allow you that chance.

49 million are struggling because they are under the thumb of the government. Their potentual employers are under the thumb of regulations that make it less attractive to actually hire someone.
Liberalism is the takeover of the fascist state by the state. Since the corporation is enjoying so much of the governments largess you want the government to take over the corporation for the benefit of the worker. Communism.
It never dawned on you that the entire reason the government/corporate marriage exists is because they can't take over the livelihood of the citizen apart they have to do it together. Tax codes of millions of pages, with special cut out's and perks that nobody else gets are the problem. You want equality? No more tax breaks. Flat tax for everyone. You can graduate it as earning rise but no deductions no special perks for going into un-profitable ventures the tax payers will fund.
You are to focused on what some have other than opening it up to everyone.

US denies "conspiracy" allegations in Venezuela
The allegations that the United States is helping to organize protestors in Venezuela is baseless and false," US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a statement.
...Maduro also rejected Washington's demand to rescind an arrest warrant against opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez. Maduro accused the US of trying to overthrow his government.
