Seems like a lot of equivocating instead of answering. People need to be fired at the top. Whole govt is waste on a grand scale
The Non Essential personnel....If they are Non Essential, fire every last one of them....They ARE...Non Essential anyway...

Commuting from home is not not working for a paycheck.

It was really bad during the covid.....The wife worked near three years from home (FEMA) before she retired.

Being old school she actually worked more or less like she would have done on site but there were times when, of her 12 person finance team, she would be the only one logged-on (working) for hours at a time. Her .gov computer showed the ones logged on.

Nobody cared because she could also see the supervisors who were logged on and it was the same thing with them.

When she retired she handled it all through FEMA HQ in DC......On her last day she just logged on to let security know she was coming, then back off, boxed-up the .gov stuff and took it to the regional site and turned the stuff to the security guy out front, he inventoried it, took her pass, and that was it.....30-odd years and gone without a whimper.

In other words you could cut 25% of the nonessentials (and their supervision) and not miss a beat.

Nice story but so boring.

Every Republican in Congress for a start.
Both parties do it but Congress is in session for like 1/3 of the year. That they are holding hearings to see if other people are showing up for work:

It does stress the idea of being a public servant that someone can work so little and keep their job. Yes, I know they do work outside of sessions. So do our nurses and doctors, continuing education, training, independent study, etc...

You mean the guy with the soaring economy? :cool-45:
The Results Are In: Bidenomics Is a Complete Failure
Thanks to Bidenomics, American families' credit card debt has reached a record $1 trillion as people struggle to pay their bills and feed their families under the weight of inflation. The dream of home ownership has slipped out of reach for countless Americans as mortgage rates approach 8 percent and banks tighten their lending requirements. Sixty-one percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, gas prices are once again spiking nationwide due to the Biden administration's anti-American energy policies, and American households have lost, on average, $33,000 in real wealth this year alone. No wonder almost two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the president's economic initiatives.
Absolutely great <SARCASM>
