That is not illegal.
It is if it is a way to launder payments to the Biden's to buy influence with VP Biden and the state department.
That's manufactured bullshit which only a retard buys.
But if the Bidens did nothing illegal, what does it matter if they're investigated?

Only a banana republic supporter would suggest that a civilian citizen is to be investigated in the manner Hunter Biden has been targeted by trump.
He's the son of the VP and he has absolutely no qualifications to be on the board of a Ukrainian power company being paid over $50,000 a month. Don't insult our intelligence.
I wouldn't dare to assume you have intelligence to be honest. Trying to make an argument that people should be qualified to hold a seat on the board of directors besides being the son of an elected official considering Ivanka is been seen to sit in on meetings of the G8 and Kushner is basically in charge of trying to broker peace in the Middle East. Seems trying to condemn nepotism as bad isn't a sign of genius under those circumstances.

And?

There are many boards around the world who have big names on them for the prestige factor, without those people having any experience.

Your ignorance of this fact is being taken advantage of, rube. Your propagandists absolutely depend on you being this stupid.

The democrats are accusing Trump of soliciting "foreign interference" in the 2020 election by asking the Ukraine to investigate Burisma. How is investigating Burisma the same as investigating Joe Biden? I'm not seeing the connection. No wonder the voters are rejecting the democrat's inane coup plot, and as Professor Turley explained, it is the democrats in the House that are abusing their power, not Trump.

House Democrats' impeachment report accuses Trump of obstruction, other misconduct
Democrats on Tuesday publicly released a new report accusing President Donald Trump of soliciting Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election for his benefit and obstructing the impeachment inquiry in the House of Representatives.

The 300-page report alleges a quid pro quo scheme in which Trump “conditioned official acts on a public announcement by the new Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, of politically-motivated investigations” into former Vice President Joe Biden — a top Democratic presidential candidate — and his son Hunter.

“In pressuring President Zelensky to carry out his demand, President Trump withheld a White House meeting desperately sought by the Ukrainian President, and critical U.S. military assistance to fight Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine,” the report says.

Here's another article with the same accusation:
House Democrats conclude Trump solicited foreign interference in 2020
WASHINGTON – Three House committees investigating the potential impeachment of President Donald Trump uncovered a months-long effort "to use the powers of his office to solicit foreign interference on his behalf in the 2020 election," according to their draft report released Tuesday.

Let's take a poll....

Want to know the reason why they are making that claim?

Just in case Trump win the Democrats will claim the election was tampered with and will demand the USSC to void the election and declare their candidate the winner...

When Adam Schiff stated Trump cheated before and got away with it, and then claim they must stop him before he does it again... Well that made it clear the Democrats will declare Trump victory invalid if their candidate loses and claim foreign power interfered in our elections...

Just watch because I called it on the Obstruction of Congress and now their next plan is to claim the 2020 election was stolen again from them...

Ivanka isn't taking over $50,000 a month. She's a helluva lot smarter than Hunter Biden. He wasn't there for his intelligence on power companies.

Political dirt you idiot.

Please define "political dirt". We generally call them "crimes", or "corruption".

What 'crimes'? What 'corruption'?

Lets look again at what Trump said to Ukraine:

"There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me," Trump says, according to the document.

And then Trump had his lackeys demand that Ukraine make a public announcement that they were investigating the Biden's.

And yes- that is calling for 'political dirt'

Announcing an investigation into Burisma .

Again- Trump didn't mention Burisma. You just lied.

Trump's lackey's did demand that the President of the Ukraine- personally- make a public announcement of an investigation into the Biden's.

And the only reason to demand a public announcement is for the same reason Trump cheered on Comey when he announced the resumption of the investigation into Clinton in 2016- for Trump's political benefit.

The Bidens are not exempt from investigation for corruption anymore than Trump was by Mueller.
The Bidens got paid more than $1-million from Burisma, what did they do to earn that money.
I think that someone should follow the money to see how it worked. Was there corruption or was it legitimate?
Trump came thru the Mueller investigation without a scratch. Can the Bidens come thru an investigation or not?
After the Mueller investigation on Trump, I have no sympathy for the Bidens.

Unless he has something to hide...
Clearly the crime Trump is guilty of is investigating Democrats that have committed criminal acts.

Exactly the point I'm trying to make in the OP.
There is no connection between Biden and Burisma, unless there is a crime involved.

Trump didn't call for an investigation of Burisma- he called for an investigation of the Biden's.

But you knew that.

Trump asked Zelensky to work with AG Barr as required by law to ensure no corruption before sending the money:
"....so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great."

Again- you are spouting pure bullshit.

Trump never mentioned corruption to Zelensky. Nor did Trump mention the money.

Trump asked Zelensky to investigate his political rival- and work with his personal attorney and the Attorney General.

Not one word about corruption.

This thread started with your bullshit and continues you spouting pure bullshit.

Ok, so you are a certified mind reader that can swear to Trump's motives and intent as to why he asked Zelensky to work with the AG.
There is no other reason to investigate a corrupt company than to find and eliminate corruption. If no corruption is found, that is a good outcome.
The democrats claims about Trump are totally unfounded, and the whining about "investigating the Bidens" look like circling the wagons.
What are the democrats afraid of? That AG Barr will follow the money and corruption will be uncovered?

Announcing an investigation into Burisma isn't the same as paying Russians for "dirt" aka fiction/lies, on Trump via the Steele Dossier as the Clinton campaign did.

How is announcing an investigation in the Ukraine the same as getting "political dirt" on Joe Biden?
Trump playing the Biden video bragging about firing a prosecutor or you don't get the $billion is damning enough.

For the record, and to question your claim on the dossier:

Trump–Russia dossier - Wikipedia

From the above link, after May 3, 2016 the democrats paid for the oppo research on Trump:

"Perkins Coie paid Fusion GPS $1.02 million in fees and expenses..."

"For months, Fusion GPS gathered information about Trump, focusing on his business and entertainment activities. When Trump became the presumptive nominee on May 3, 2016,[35] the conservative donor stopped funding the research on him.[3][36]"

I wonder how much of the money Obama gave to Iran ended up in his own pocket?

Q. Why is trump so interested in corruption in a singular foreign nation when Congress has appropriated billions of dollars to other nations which have corruption and even worse, such as Saudi Arabia.
He held up funding for other countries.
He has a right to do that.
Democrats call that an abuse of power.

So many things Obama got away with are now impeachable offenses.

The democrats, like the Obamas, Bidens, and Clintons, were poor going into government and are rich coming out of government.
Funny how that works.

What have I said that is a lie? I was simply pointing out how insanely hypocritical it is to try to assert how bad nepotism is in light of whom you support. Calling me stupid or corrupt doesn't make the argument any less bereft of a sense of irony.

Unlike you though I don't need to deflect. Yes, Hunter Biden probably got this seat on that particular board because of who his daddy was. I find it unsavory. It is not corrupt. Neither is it corrupt when China approves trademarks in favor of Ivanka Trump. Both are most likely done for the same reason. I can distinguish between unsavory behavior and corruption.

I can also distinguish between an actual investigation into possible corruption in a case like this. Something I wouldn't have any problems with. Such an investigation would run from a suspicion, through a law enforcement agency or the justice department itself, to the State Department who have treaties in place with a place like Ukraine if necessary. These requests would be well documented for the simple reason that in order to prosecute such a case any deviation of procedures jeopardizes a possible conviction. In truth since most of the information would be found in the State Department and White House records NOT some foreign country. And a political hitjob. Something that wouldn't require any of that because the object would simply be to embarrass the political rival.

Considering what happened I don't think it's hard to see which of the 2 it was. And that is the heart of the impeachment case. Should the President Of The United States be allowed to use the power of his office to further his own political ambitions?

I wonder how much of the money Obama gave to Iran ended up in his own pocket?

I wonder how much of the money Trump gave Ukraine ended up in Trump Jr's. pocket?

Ivanka isn't taking over $50,000 a month. She's a helluva lot smarter than Hunter Biden. He wasn't there for his intelligence on power companies.
So nepotism is fine as long as Trump is the one that is doing it? As to smarts. Ivanka holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Wharton. Hunter Biden holds a bachelor in history From Georgetown and a Yale law degree. So you are basing your assumption on what?
So what is Hunter doing on the board of a Ukrainian power company getting paid $50,000 a month? You can't be this stupid. You're so corrupt. Why would you lie and protect corrupt politicians?

A private company hired Hunter because of his name. That isn't illegal. Hell the Trump Organization hired Donald Jr. because of his name- and thats not illegal either.

Do I think companies should do that? No.

If hiring people for their name becomes illegal, well a hell of a lot of politicians- and Trump's family- are going to jail.
