How far down the tubes are democrats going to let this economy go before they reverse course?

That's not the fault of Biden, Russia accounted for little of our oil, this is gas and oil prices being raised by speculators. We are all hostage to this industry
Yes, it is the fault of Biden, and it's not an accident.

Gas prices track oil prices. The US is the largest producer and consumer of oil in the world, we have a unique position.

When Bush 41 launched the 1991 Gulf War, he began with a release from the SPR. That sent a message to oil markets that the US would be willing to use the SPR to tamp down oil prices if necessary. The result was that oil prices stayed flat throughout ODS. Speculators got the message.

Same with Trump, he was a champion of US energy in all forms, and he brought gas prices down- the main beneficiary being the working class who can't afford federally subsidized 60K Teslas or even 30K Chevy Volts.

Biden came in and cancelled Keystone. He cancelled the leases in ANWR. He cancelled offshore leases in the Gulf of Mexico. He banned fracking on Federal lands, and I believe there is still a moratorium on offshore leases.

The market responded accordingly, and I will probably pay more than $5/gallon next week when it's time to fill up again. Biden's belated attempt to tamp down with 30Mn bbl from the SPR is not effective, because no one believes he is serious about actually getting oil prices down.

What are you talking about? Unemployment is under 5% right now, it was over 20% in 2020 under the last Administration. The economy is doing quite well.
