IMHO, most people on the Left do not despise America, but many of them sure as hell do not respect anyone with a different political view. In some ways they are no different from Trump, they have convinced themselves that what is good for me is also good for the country, and they justify everything they say and do as a result. Even if it is illegal or unscrupulous.

Remember that even during the Revolutiobary War, there were a large number of "Colonists" that still show their loyalty to King George.
Many remained and then claimed they were loyal Americans that fought for Freedom and Liberty against Britain. These Loyalists were called "Tories".
No different today... You'll find out who are the false valor heroes and Tories are after the smoke clears...
We'll see how many Loyal Democrats claim they were for Trump soon after the election.

One way they do it is by indoctrinating college students. I see it every day. You have students fresh out of high school just begging to hear something different from their parents. Their parents teach them to work, be industrious, be respectful, etc.

The students go to college and you have some dipshit prof telling them to be parasites and how everything is unfair. The profs constantly tear down business owners (well over 90% of businesses are small business), and students are told to be entitled.

I laugh when my profs just assume I voted for Harris.
