We are getting ahead of ourselves - how do we get to that POSITION where we can even take power away from them?

They no longer have power when they are gone and buried.

You are not being serious: how do we get to that position where we can do ANYTHING to them? you try to take out ONE of them now and you are gone, you may say I will be gone if I try it NOW, but I am still alive, and I understand that joking about it which causes no threat to them is allowed, but I am still alive if I am serious, and I'm asking what can be done to take them out by any means possible? be more specific

Do you know Socialism has failed everywhere it has been tried...including in this country. They tried it a great deal in communes all over as far back as the early 1800's.

At first, they were mostly hard workers, and just a few slackards. But the slackards got more numerous and slacked more...until the workers packed up and left. Its always that way. Its human nature.

There are people who like living on the Federal Government Plantation, and not having to endure the stress of a job. More and more of them all the time. Human nature--offer a free subsistence--in this country...a place to live, food, clothes, T.V. , Obama phone, an old car, enough money to buy a little beer and some cigarettes--and a lot of them will happily sit on the porch.

They are bought Socialists and "Progressives" buy them for votes. The problem is, they are borrowing money to buy them...and that game will end...just like all the other Marxist/Socialist games end.

yep, you're quite correct. the peaceful route is much preferred - revolutions are very messy and the collateral damage a real pain. I would suggest the Article V convention route. the required number of states have applied, but congress has become "reluctant" to perform their constitutional duty (imagine that). the power must be wrested from the government and placed where it belongs - in the hands of the citizens. I would recommend an evolution to a direct democracy instead of staying with the democratic republic ideology. I feel this could, in today's world of technology, be accomplished. never forget the thoughts of Jefferson and Franklin when they warned of the fear of the "moneyed" people being able to control the government to their own best interests.

Of course, I get it now. When you tell someone their "value" is they don't want people to profit from their own work, they want wealth concentrated in the hands of the wealthy, and conclude with "you would know," you're just having a bit of fun. When someone saying something to you, you whine that one shouldn't insult, it detracts from the discussion.

and I understand your situation. this is not an easy problem to address, and one cannot blame those faint of heart to even propose any answers. mine is well known. difficult as it may be, there comes a time when, as society changes, their government must either change or be changed to "catch up". revolution is not the answer, but evolution is the answer. this government was started at a time and condition which made a democratic republic a necessity. times have changed dramatically, and with it must the government. we now have it within our power (the people's power) to effect a real and substantive change for the improvement of "we the people". an article V convention must be convened - and quickly. the interests of the moneyed must not be allowed to control the people. I see the change to a direct democracy is the most fair method to bring the government back to being the peoples tool, instead the reverse. much must be decided if this is the path chosen. work and commitment will be required by the average citizens to force this change, as we all know our government will resist this to the end. the rewards will be great. sacrifices will also be great. it is a task which must be completed for now and for the future of our country.

I understand the frustration - I'm there. but, do you really wish to dispose of them, with the obvious repercussions, with violence. think of it this way - how better to make a change than to use the constitution to force the change. such an irony seems much better than another revolution. an Article V convention awaits and the required number of states have petitioned the feds. contact your congress representatives and request why the congress has not called the convention. Article V requires they do so. time is of the essence - congress will drag this out if they can.

I fully support the Article V Convention. Have for some time. To put our house back in order. I want a Restored Republic. Not a pure Democracy. We screwed up when we strayed away from Convention.

I understand your point. a pure democracy scares many. I submit to you that is is the only way to eliminate the heavy money influence of the rich in our government. in a democratic republic, you sign over your vote to someone else with the hope (and I do mean hope) that they will vote per the majority of their constituents. sorry, but I for one am not willing to do that unless I see verifiable proof they have done so. if I vote either for or against a law or budget myself, I am assured my vote has been counted. unless someone is rich enough to buy the votes of the majority of the voters, they cannot control the outcome.
