Because they made it clear she was not accused of anything. They were conducting a criminal investigation that she admitted being a party to. They explained that calmly and clearly multiple times. Personally, I think they molly coddled her and after the third time of her blatant obstruction of justice, she should have been slammed face down on the ground and taken downtown to be questioned in the jail while she awaited charges of obstruction.

You don't know how a police investigation is conducted. She wasn't being accused of anything until she refused to give them her last name and resisted. That "going limp" might work at a protest but during a police investigation, they will just hog tie your ass and throw you in the car until they figure out what happened.

I've been in handcuff so many times I can't count them. When I deal with coppers I give them one word answers. If they tell me to jump (and it will help sleep in my bed that night) I ask them how high. If I approach them I always offer to hand them ID (I have it ready) and say....I know you guys like to know with who you are dealing with.

In Tennessee we have CC and legally you do not have to tell them you are armed. A copper told me that...he went on to say If I find one during a search and wasn't told to expect it...I would not be a happy camper.

My buddy a Philly copper in the 19 th told me like 25 years ago: Put your keys on the dashboard, windows / head down and don't sir the officer.

If they are considering give'n you a break...you'll get it.
