Good point. Today, a kid probably needs to go through four years of college and still not get the education I got by the time I left high school.

When I graduated, college was an option for if you wanted to be a doctor, scientist or advanced technology specialist.

Today, college is not an option at all and basically required for even a basic, entry level menial job.

Looking back, I had obtained most of the education I needed for life skills by the eighth grade.
