As everybody probably already knows, Trump lowered his tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%. Some people around here think that "China blinked" when it came to negotiations. Which is stupid. Because Trump lowered the tariffs, not China. Aside from Trump possibly gaining some sense, or that it was time to stop playing with the stock market so his rich friends could buy low and sell high, this is what I think is most likely to have turned the tide. Many companies have been trying to order more products before Trump's tariffs could take effect. Despite this, one website says that the number of Chinese ships arriving into American ports has dropped by about 1/3. Though another website says that the amount of cargo on some of the ships from China were down by about 30%. Here are the websites.

No, Port of Seattle isn't 'empty' due to Trump's tariffs, though cargo volume is unpredictable | Snopes.com

Whatever the truth may be, less goods are coming into the U.S. from China. And what is it that the Chinese aren't sending? It probably isn't dolls that the Scrooge Trump would like to see poor little girls do without on Christmas. It is probably things like electronics or car parts. You know, those things that will really put a hurt on American businesses. From my way if thinking, it seems to me that American businesses need those things a lot more than Chinese manufacturers need to send them to us.

I never thought thought I would EVER hear myself say these words. But "Thank god for China!" It would seem that China is more on the side of the American people than Trump is. Apparently China decided to not play Trump's tariff game. Even though the Chinese themselves weren't going to be paying for those tariffs. They decided that instead of sending goods that the American people would have to pay tariffs on, they would prefer to not send some goods at all. I bet Trump wasn't expecting that. So he decided to drastically reduce his tariffs.

God, you're an idiot!

Trump is in charge. He knows what he's doing.
He's a shrewed businessman and knows how to play this game.

Believe what the lying media tells you, if you're that ignorant and brainless.

The rest of us know whats going on.

Yeah. We went from paying 67% to 10%. China really kicked our ass.

Just as a general rule of thumb? Anything from The Guardian should be taken with a huge grain of salt...it's not an unbiased site. It's actually one of the MOST biased sites and the one most cited by people that don't have a clue.
