How China is 100 years ahead of us on many AI and Tech issues!

Here's my issue with China ...

I have visited there four times in the last 3 years -- each visit lasted several weeks. I took tours with locals (being the only 鬼佬 on the tour). I have taken trains and planes across the length of China and spent a week driving around without a guide in the Tibetan Autonomous Zone -- and I have a really hard time believing anything I hear in the news or online about China.

Much of what I've seen with my own eyes flies square in the face of what I hear reported by our news.

I can point out a host of problems with the country but after living and visiting throughout most of America, I can clearly claim the same about my own country.

What I do believe is that they aren't the threat to us that American media portrays them and I compare most of what I hear to the same reports in the media from the 1980's that assured me that Japan was going to take us over (at least economically).

Unbefucking unreal. When I saw this video, my jaw fell down. It shows how ahead of us China is when it comes to AI and to some technology! I did not in a million years expect to see anything like this.

How fast can you move there to live? When will you depart?

But yet you just visit China and live in the United States.

I never said that the Chinese are “100% better” than us, we definitely are better in “some” ways. What I did say is that they have applied what they do know to help their citizens and wevhavre applied what we know to make the rich richer. They care more about all citizens and have shown and proven it!
Democrats manage our large cities. Mamdani will spend 3 years just to build a supermarket.

True ... for a few reasons ...

To live in China long term I would need Permanent Residency ... difficult to legally obtain in both countries. While it might be easy to live illegally here .. Chinese treat their borders seriously

I speak very little Chinese -- only enough to buy stuff and ask basic directions (and a number of Cantonese curse words). As long as I speak English and Spanish, I can get buy better here

A country doesn't have to be my enemy, even if I have no plans to move there.

I can confirm that the average Chinese citizen does not have a life even remotely close to that of the average American. Furthermore, they have nowhere near the level of freedom that we do. The Internet is controlled by the "Great Firewall of China." Most foreign search engines and social media outlets are blocked. And good luck publicly criticizing Xi Jinping.

I also asked him when he was there, not you, allegedly, and since he didn't answer and I'll assume it's never.
They have just as much freedom as the average American, since they don't waste the whole day and year philosophizing about politics. They prefer to work and enjoy their free-time with family and friends.
The middle to upper middle class has a better life then the middle to upper-middle class American.

If you would have been to China - you would know that.

Only if your solution is mass incarceration or murder.

To be absolutely fair -- We beat China on both absolute number of incarcerated residents (Our 1.8 Million to China's 1.6 Million)

And

As far as the more indicative rate of incarceration, Our 541 per 100,000 residents (#5 Globally) is several times that of China's 114 per 100,000 residents (#119 Globally)

Our murder rate is also several times that as the "legal" definition of murder is the non-state sanctioned killing of a human as opposed to just the killing of a human.

If you believe any stats coming out of China.

You ever been to Japan?

If you have, you will certainly prefer to live amongst China-men - in China.
I reckon most people who are not from either country but have lived for a time in both would disagree with you.

Well, imagining that Japan is overtaking the USA economically is a hell of stretch even for a vivid imagination.

Bush sen. was just getting fed up with the Japanese copying everything, whilst being totally restrictive about imports and selling unhindered into the US market.

BTW - 鬼佬 is Cantonese and an unfriendly, as well as low form (used by low class people in China) like "Foreign demon or ghost"
Normally people in China will refer to you as 外国人 -Wei guo ren - "outsider or an outside person.
