How about using the 2008 budget - (the wars and Bush taxes cuts)? A lot of the drivers of our debt would be removed and things that should be funded would remain.

Would this be a solution? It would be a budget and would stop the constant stop @ go bs.

Yep, there hasn't been a budget since 2008, it all been done on CR's, Republicans shoud have put a stop to that crap as soon as they took the house.

That's misleading because mandatory spending goes up on its own if need be; it's built into the original legislation.
