Ain't it great to be in charge? While the country's business goes unattended, the Democrats are busy sitting on their thumbs.

Democrat-led House was in session for 14 days of the first 2 months of the year

"The Democrat-led House was in session for votes just 14 days within the first 2 months of the year.

According to the House Majority Leader's calendar, the House was in session 7 days in January and 7 days in February.

The House is out of session for the rest of February.

The House passed voting rights legislation in January. The bill hit roadblocks in the 50-50 Senate due to GOP opposition.

President Biden's $2 trillion Build Back Better Act, a cornerstone of his legislative agenda, passed the House last year but later stalled in the Senate after West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin declared that he would vote against the measure.

The House is now considering legislation that would ban lawmakers from trading individual stock.

House Democrats are weighing whether to extend the stock ban to the spouses of lawmakers."

It’s almost as if they are trying to lose the majority in November.

They don't really care. Even though much of it has failed and some of it is reversible, they know they only had a fixed amount to time to jam their agenda down the throats of the American people. That was to be expected of a party who was so desperate to win, that they had to commit the worst election theft in this country's history in order to accomplish those goals. The Democrats pulled off one hell of a Hail Mary pass in 2020 and because it succeeded, they're doing everything they can before their time has expired, even at the expense of their party's credibility.

Kind of hard to blame Rs for failing to pass any legislation, when you’re never in session.

Except the OP list legislation that has been passed that is now sitting in the black hole of the Senate. Thus is the joy that is the fake filibuster, both sides always have a built in excuse for not doing what they said they would do

A functioning Congress would have secured the border, made us energy independent again, strengthened our military, and allowed a vibrant thriving economy.
a "functioning congress" right now would be giving us all kinds of fucked up big govt shit

You big government lovers are too much to stomach this early in the morning.

How many new laws are needed? Most decent states only have their legislatures in session for a limited period of time. There is no reason why the House can't clean up their business for the year in 6 weeks or so.

I fully support congress having two days a year for their dirty work.

The less, the better.

Not doing what they said they were going to do is better than doing what they said they were going to do.

At the beginning of the new year it's generally the same on how many days Congress is in session. So what seems to be any different? Not much.
On the military... Why build up the military and then bitch about using it?
