Yes, they are sent back immediately after they have been screened by border patrol....if they do not meet the criteria for being an asylum seeker they are denied entry in to our country.
You guys have been peddled so many lies and you buy in to them because you are ignorant on how the system works at the border....
When the encounter is apprehended or turns themselves in, they are put in detention until their interview, and then deported/removed/sent back home, for the most part. Those that border control lets stay... meet asylum seeker screening and are allowed in, and given a court date for an immigration judge to decide. Judges are running at 85% are denied asylum when the seeker gets their day in court....then they are deported if the judicial ruling us not appealed.
