Many Repubs made the argument they didn't think extorting Zelensky for campaign help rose to the level of an impeachable offense. That argument stretches credulity but at least it is somewhat defensible.
As of today, roughly one year after Repubs have been in control of all the investigatory committees in the House, and after Hunter's life has been turned inside out looking for financial crimes involving his dad, there is absolutely no credible evidence of any crime. Just allegations.
The formal impeachment inquiry is based on nothing.

1. Trump was well within his rights to ask for Z to look into Biden corruption. It was OBVIOUS. Unlike the Banana Republic charges Soros DAs are hitting Trump with.

2. The Biden Crime Family was caught red-handed selling influence to America's adversaries. Money laundering, bribery, millions of dollars illegally gained as seen in the many "suspicious" money transfers.
