Damn skippy they keep up with each employee's sales. And if they have shared sales they use a formula based on hours worked and sales per hour per employee. I mean the owners have to keep up with those things, otherwise, those servers would walk out with half the damn receipts.

So, I go back to college to get my MBA. The big push, I got divorced, started waiting tables on the side, and then started making more money than my full time gig. I could go back to school and pay my way. Working for a chain, I transferred to Raleigh. Big restaurant, multi-levels. High volume.

So, first night on the floor. Power section. I take a triple seating and then haul ass to a terminal to input the orders. The other servers stop me, hold off on putting those in for a few minutes, we are all going to put our orders in at the same time. I am baffled, why do that to the kitchen. Then they explain, if everyone puts them in at once sometimes the entire system crashes. Then they got no record of our sales, it all goes to paper tickets. The servers were walking out with hundreds of dollars a night. Believe me, I put an end to that shit.

The ACA did solve the problem. Much of it through expanded Medicaid, and that is what is being cut. Along with those additional subsidies for those purchasing health insurance on the exchange. They will see premiums skyrocket in 2026.

I don't think you are getting the point. Few tipped workers make enough money to pay income taxes. And the same goes for those blue collar workers working a little bit of overtime.

The bigger question, will tipped workers pay FICA taxes on tips? And if not, do those tips go toward calculating their retirement benefit? If they are not then those workers are getting the raw end of the deal.

For overtime, well those rules are a changing. Exempt salaries starting at around thirty grand, half of what it is now. Calculating overtime on a monthly basis instead of a weekly basis. Work sixty hours this week, twenty next, no overtime.

I had 2 step children work as waiters and my own daughter worked as a waiter. My daughter went to college and now is a RN. My step daughter got her degree and is a school official now. My daughter made a killing as a waiter. I will ask her about stacking up orders to profit waiters. My stepson who was the last waiter put his earnings into Real Estate and retired early.

But their native born American citizen children do. Now you know what all this about birthright citizenship is really going after. If we can declare these children born to immigrants, especially illegals and those seeking asylum, as non-citizens, Medicaid is off the hook.

GWB created temporary tax cuts for the rich in 2001/2003.
In 2010/2012, Obama was in a situation where he had to force the Democrats in Congress to extend those tax cuts for the rich.
