Don't buy it for a minute. My father could tell you stories about growing up that would make you cry. During last years toilet paper shortage, all my father did was laugh saying he grew up without toilet paper. He never used the stuff until he left home and joined the Marines to fight in Korea. They never even had indoor plumbing. Need to go at 2:00 am on a cold night during a snow storm? Out in the back where the outhouse was. It wouldn't have been so bad if they could have afforded to put a roof over the thing.

My dad and his five siblings all grew up without going to jail once yet alone prison. Most of them learned a trade, supported their families and a few even ran their own business. Like my father, all his brothers served in our military.

Talk to a foreign beverage or convenient store owner, where you see him working 14 hour days 7 days a week and ask him what poverty is. They will laugh in your face if you tell them about our so-called poverty people in this country.

I think you either need a better tax preparer or have the one you got now explain what little advantage depreciation is. If you are taking out a mortgage to buy rental property, they require 20% down because banks consider rental property much higher risk. The bank only processes the loan. It's the underwriters that actually loan the money so it's the underwriters rules that you need to abide by to get the loan.

Trade schools are more than affordable, especially for a young person still living at home. The career I'm now retired from still needs tens of thousands of people they can't find. Driving is a pretty good paying job and a world of opportunities. Some pay six figures and there isn't that much training involved. The best part is anybody that doesn't have a lot of points on their license or DUI's can get into that career in just a few months. The United States allows a million outsiders a year to become citizens of this country. We also pass out a million green cards and Visa's for foreigners to take advantage of everything we created. This is on top of all the foreign aid the US government provides, and a variety of private charities that go to help people all over the world. No other country does what the US does in regards to taking care of people other than their own. If you can find one, let me know what country that is, and then I'll say we aren't doing enough for those people.

Surveys of people all over the world choose the US as the number one destination if they could migrate from their country. It's not because they don't want to either. It's because the US is the land of opportunity and freedom is why, something a lot of our native born citizens don't realize.

Besides the additional crime, immigrants lower wages for American workers. They flood our hospitals for care and don't pay a dime for it because in the US, all hospitals have to treat people in their ER's regardless of ability to pay, which increases medical costs for people that do. They put their kids in our schools that local and state taxpayers have to pay for, and slow down the learning process for our children. They make money here and send it across the borders. They force us to learn their language to get a job in government agencies and even in the private sector because they decided to come here and not learn our language.
