Irrelevant.
You pull examples that are not related to the core problem and then bitch about something unrelated entirely.
It is simply a FACT that the insulin market here is not a free market. Period. It is not even remotely related to the idea of free market. You are just using this example to bitch about something you don't like that is unrelated.
If you want to complain about a free market, fine. HOWEVER, this is NOT a valid point in THIS example.
Again, I relate this to complaining that democracy is a shitty system because an authoritarian like Putin is killing people. The two have nothing to do with each other.
The SOLE reason insulin is overpriced here in this nation is because the government has protected the insulin drug companies from competition thereby REMOVING the product from the free market and placing it in a controlled market. They ALSO do not have price controls.
Which is rather nonsensical if you are protecting a monopoly. You want more government controls, I would prefer a system that opened the market up. All of that is irrelevant to the outright LIE that this is a 'free market' problem. There is no free market for this product.
