The answer is, we have just not had enough from muslims. We need more. Something that would teach us a lesson we will never forget. Paris wasn't enough, Brussels wasn't enough. San Bernardino, New York, Fort Hood was not enough. Liberals need muslims to rap their knuckles and kick them in the shins at the same time.

Honey Maid, the breakfast cereal brand, has launched a new ad campaign, urging Americas to be more accepting of one another, "whether people are of a different race, sexuality, if they are adopted, or if they have suffered a disfigurement."

One ad from their series called "Neighbors" refers to "the heightened tensions and often polarizing debate around immigration issues during the run-up to the 2016 election."

The ad opens with a woman, who is wearing a hijab. She says: "The first time you go out of your house, you're worried. Is anybody staring at you? Is anybody looking?"

The ad then cuts to a white female staring out at the street from her window: "I didn't know anything about her culture, only what I saw in the news."

The two are then seen embracing and having breakfast together with their children.

"I was kind of scared of how she was going accept me, but then our girls brought us together," the first woman says.

Katrina Plummer, Honey Maid equity brand manager was asked if the ads were a response to the political climate of the presidential race.

We are watching society change over time, because we think it is important to be reflective of today's world, and to be inclusive of a cross-section of those unique families that make up the American society. Honey Maid is acknowledging the changing family dynamic among our consumers and are excited about the opportunity for 'This Is Wholesome' to feature and celebrate real diverse families.

I just want to make one point here. I understand the points being made on both sides. What I question is, why do so many people (including Donald Trump) keep saying that we are letting in poorly vetted immigrants -- or as Trump says, people without documents, people we don't know who they are....
If anyone were to look at the actual procedures, it seems we are being as careful as we can be. EU is frustrated with US for taking so much time to vet and allow in refugees; at the rate we're going, we'll never meet Obama's promise of 60,000 this year. Which is okay with me--caution should come first.
So is it the Visa people here for a short stay or the European visitors who don't need a Visa to come here, or what are these folks referring to?

We certainly weren't going to accommodate Italian or German enemies during WWII. We weren't stupid in those days.

The Irish immigrants to the US were so violent that the city police were inadequate to deal with them. It took the New York state militia. The largest prison gang was The Bluebirds composed entirely of Irish criminals who murdered prisoners and guards alike. The Bluebirds eventually became the Aryan Brotherhood.
