Holy Smoke! We have a new Pope.

I do. Religious peoples don’t engage in rape and murder

Read up on the Crusades some time.

The Nazis wore belt Buckles that read "Gott Mit Uns".

You are engaging in the "No True Scotsman" Fallacy.

You made what could be called an appeal to purity as a way to dismiss relevant criticisms or flaws of your argument.

In this form of faulty reasoning one's belief is rendered unfalsifiable because no matter how compelling the evidence is, one simply shifts the goalposts so that it wouldn't apply to a supposedly 'true' example. This kind of post-rationalization is a way of avoiding valid criticisms of one's argument.

Example: Angus declares that Scotsmen do not put sugar on their porridge, to which Lachlan points out that he is a Scotsman and puts sugar on his porridge. Furious, like a true Scot, Angus yells that no true Scotsman sugars his porridge.

Nazis are burning in hell…folks can certainly repent and find God, maybe some of these terrorist in prison are

Often prisoners do when they have time to reflect and give up their old lifestyle

Well, that's nice and all... but since you have no proof that there is a Heaven or a Hell, that's kind of meaningless.

The problem is, a lot of Nazis were either Lutherans or Catholics, and their clergy was for the most part perfectly okay with what they did.

Saints aren’t Gods

No, they aren't, and I found the concept of "Sainthood" to be a little silly, which is why I stopped being a Catholic in 1983.

But the problem is, the Protestant Religions are just as silly. Some are even sillier. (I'm looking at you, Mormons!!!)

Think there is a magic man in the sky who cares what hole you are sticking your dick into or wants you to grovel in front of him once a week is silly.

No Nazis had their own religion

It rejected most aspects of actual Christianity

Educate your self instead of just lying

A saint isn't God either.

I rest my case.

You don't have a case, guy.

You claimed Catholic worshipped statues. They don't worship statues. They worship the Trinitarian God, just like you do.

They think that saints can intercede with God. That God is hanging out up there on a cloud with all these really holy dead people, and if you ask one of them nicely, they'll have a talk with God about your problem. Most Catholics don't really believe in this, either, except the elderly Italian grandmother who shows up to Church with her rosary once a day.

I find this to be a little silly. On a historical level, I see how that because Catholicism before the Reformation and Counter-reformation was closer to the polytheistic religions, the veneration of saints was an intermediate step.

They weren't very good Christians? I could say the same about the Christian Right in this country!!!

Here's the thing. I don't think there's a magic man in the sky who cares where I'm putting my dick.

But the teachings of Jesus are actually, kind of sensible.

Too bad Republicans don't follow them.

Nazism and Fascism are right wing ideologies.

The Churches were just fine with what the Fascists were doing.

Pope Pius XII reached agreements with Hitler and Mussolini and were fine with what they were doing.

(ANother reason I stopped being a Catholic.)

They arr to the right of socialism, but far left compared to American Conservatism

I wouldn’t say just fine, the Vatican did what he had to do to survive

Pope Piys condemned the national socialist

Your trinitarian is based on one God in three forms. The Virgin Mary and a gazillion patron saints aren't part of that......

Statues for all practical purposes which people pray to.......look at the rampant sinning in the priesthood....

God sending a message?

Talk to Me.
