Well...a bit of the old 'tit for tat' eh? One person's idea indoctrination and grooming is another person's Bible Camp! One must admit that there have been a lot more documented cases of the sexual abuse of children at Bible Camp and Christian Youth Retreats than there have been at these 'Drag Shows'.

A Nebraska state legislator has introduced an amendment that would prohibit kids from going to Bible camp and other religious youth programs, as a response to Republican proposals to ban children from drag performances, Fox News reported this week.
"State Sen. Megan Hunt says her amendment, which would ban children under 19 years of age from attending a 'religious indoctrination camp,' is intended to kill the underlying bill, LB 371, a measure put forward by Republicans to ban minors from attending drag performances. The text of the amendment asserts there is a 'well-documented history of indoctrination and sexual abuse perpetrated by religious leaders and clergy people upon children,'" reported Chris Pandolfo.

And a hell of a lot sexual abuse and rape by public school teachers? Ban public schools?

Stalinists do not believe in the separation of church and state, true.
LOL! Dude..Stalinists..not that there really are all that many..didn't believe in Church at all--'Opiate of the masses' and all that.

This bill was a sarcastic attempt to prove a point. I think it's a bit silly, but worth a laugh for the hard kernel of truth found within.

Actually, I bet you could get quite a few of those on the Fringe Right who would be ecstatic at the idea~

However, you did grasp the absurdity of the action--which was the intent of the author's of the Bill.

The text of the amendment asserts there is a 'well-documented history of indoctrination and sexual abuse perpetrated by religious leaders and clergy people upon children,'" reported Chris Pandolfo. "It is a tongue-in-cheek response to Republicans who have said children should not be exposed to explicit sexual content at drag shows."
"This is an amendment that I will use to make a point," said Hunt in a comment to Fox News Digital. "This amendment obviously won’t pass, and I would withdraw it if it had the votes to pass. It’s a device to make a point, so there is no need to worry."

Despite the amendment being facetious, Nebraska Republicans condemned it, with state Sen. David Murman saying, "That amendment is a great example of the far left's repeated attempt to demonize Christian patriots across Nebraska."

The only point it proves is the utter idiocy of the one proposing it.

You uneducated hyper-partisans reduce all politics to a simple-minded child's game of cowboys and indians.

All that matters to you are these infantile "gotcha" moments aimed at the other tribe.

What is completely lost on people lacking intelligence is that there is a difference between a public institution and a church organization. One is the product of the state and one isn't.

Bills aimed at limiting the state in its ability to sexualize people's children have NOTHING to do with churches. Anybody who thinks this is tit for tat is an idiot.

Okay execute those pathetic people. You say the same for public school teachers?

Churches have been grooming kids for thousands of years yet you say nothing.

Leftists are evil. The examples are countless.

I wonder if she would acknowledge that the ubiquitous "save the planet" summer camps are also religious indoctrination.

So basically, churches can be a safe haven for sexualizing children and abuse. It can be done with the protection of "freedom of expression" and "freedom of religion".

That is essentially what you are saying. :)

No, that is not what I am saying at all.

You are merely too stupid to understand what I AM saying.

No matter what anyone says, this is blatant discrimination and unconstitutional.

It's because the Marxist media focuses on each and every offense by a church person, and completely ignores sex abuse in their indoctrination centers, the public schools. Each one of us in this forum personally knows of at least three instances of sex abuse in their local school system. None of them is reported in the national news unless it involves a hot female teacher. Then you're not even sure the media condemns it.
