This is not your father's track meet.. Girl attacked!
We can debate all kinds of nonsense here but the only real question is, what should the attacker's punishment be? I would say a 6 month stay in a hard labor camp ought to do it.

I was just about the post the same thing, and to ask what her punishment should be.

IMO, this violent girl should be banned from ALL sports (not just track) for the remainder of her high school career - thus killing any chance of an athletic scholarship for college.

She should also be required to get an after-school job at Target, Mcadonald’s, wherever - and have her earnings go to her victim’s medical expenses.

I'm not surprised. Violence is everywhere today.

I'm kind of curious as to the 'concussion'?

Even back in My day running track, the batons were hollow aluminum tubes.

In the black community, violence is the solution for every problem they encounter. Did you rear end an innocent driver and now your car is fucked up? Just get out of your car and attack the person that you rear ended. Easy peasy. :dunno:

Animals know no other way to settle things but with physical violence.

The parents should look into assault charges against the young lady that hit her in the head, with a metal rod....

As for the coach of that team, maybe a good attorney could teach him/her what being a responsible adult should act like through a little pain in the wallet.

People take sports way too seriously.

The coach may, or may not, be an idiot, but in any event you can't punish him/her unless he ordered the attack.

This thread just sparked the usual racist, I can post videos of whites fighting at HS sporting events, but they would just make excuses for it.
I would have posted the story (and had the same commentary) if it was a white girl attacking a white girl, so NO, this has nothing to do with racism.

Whether it is during an event or outside, it is still an assault causing physical harm.
She should be arrested
