I've been fascinated ever since & I'm quite an expert but at the time I wanted the South to win, and thought one day I'd visit Atlanta and see all the mansions and watch all the poor slaves picking the cotton.

Do you think if the South hadn't attacked Fort Sumter, Lincoln wouldn't have had an excuse to declare war and we might still have a Confederate States of America today?

I also like that song - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down by Joan Baez - in fact I'm now going to play it!

Actually when I was 10, I used to collect American Civil War bubble gum cards. You got a couple of cards & some Confederate bank notes.
