Hey you master race of armed citizens, what's your everyday carry?

In the winter?
The one one the left. In the summer the other one.View attachment 420699
In the summer I generally wear athletic shorts and a Wife beater so it's tough to conceal anything bigger.

There's nothing like an FDE finish like the one on the left. That color is pleasing to the eye.

It matches my other baby...

Gotta color coordinate.
As for matching my wife also got a Rifle to use the .45 colt also.
Now she thinks she is Chuck Conners the Rifleman...

I'll never forget when I first met my Wife and she claimed she could shoot a beer can in the air from the hip with Her 870 shorty. Of course I didnt believe Her.
Well she showed me,She missed the first one and proceeded to hit the next four.
I knew right then she was the girl for me.

I took my wife the first time to a gun range, told her to aim carefully and she put the shot right between the eyes, i asked her if her stage name was Annie Oakley....

Must of left that thing in the dryer too long..

There was a story about a Congressman who showed his weiner to little girls on the net, his name was Carlos Danger, he had a snubnose....

Living in Florida it is difficult to conceal large handguns in the Florida heat. A snub nosed revolver works well, Just grab it on your way out the door and drop it and its holster into your pants pocket.

In passing snub nosed revolvers are also called “belly guns.” You can shove one into a guy‘s belly and it will still fire. The pressure from the stomach will cause a semi-auto pistol to go out of battery and it will not fire.

Obviously with such a short barrel revolver, I am not trying to compensate for anything.

I'll argue that point.
The auto will still cycle if pressed into your belly....I promise.
There's absolutely no reason why it wouldnt. The back pressure still exist to send the slide back and rack another round.

If you were trying to compensate for something you would never have bought a revolver with a 2 inch barrel.

Ruger SP 101 2 1/2 inch barrel stainless steel. 5 round capacity 357 mag or 38 special. It is a fine weapon. Worth the price.
Unless there are 10 or more rioters who Burn Loot and Murder....

Security 9 in my first post with two 17 round magazines 2 15 round magazines and 1 in the chamber allow for up to 65 varmints to be put down, and sent to Lucifer for his amusement....

I have taken it to the range and have yet to have a jam....or jelly... clean it every time after i shoot, i trust it with my life....

There's absolutely no reason why it wouldnt. The back pressure still exist to send the slide back and rack another round.

That depends if most of the pressure is on the barrel, or the slide, and the design of the gun. Most semi-auto pistols won't fire if the slide is pushed back even a little, or even the barrel. That's to prevent it from firing "out of battery", or with the round not completely seated in the chamber. Out of curiosity, I just grabbed a Ruger P-89, unloaded it and tried firing it with some rearward pressure on the slide. With the slide pushed back less than 1/8", the hammer wouldn't come down when the trigger was pulled. The same thing happened when I pushed the barrel up against the edge of a table, it wouldn't dry-fire.

That's not to say that all semi-auto pistols are the same. I tried the same with a Spanish Star Model B 9mm in a 1911-style frame: It wouldn't dry-fire. Same thing with an FN Baby Browning in 25 ACP: It wouldn't dry-fire when the barrel was pressed against the table.

But a Spanish Eibar "Liberty" .25 ACP pistol did dry-fire when the muzzle was pressed against the table.

ETA: Dammit. I thought for sure this thread would attract the gun-haters in droves. I must be losing my touch.

In the Utah Conceal Carry Permit class i took, the instructor told us that the magic distance of firing your weapon was 7 yards. If the perp gets inside that zone, he can then do things to you which you might not be able to defend from. So i tell my kids that you are to start at 50 feet, and if they continue to come, empty all the magazines you have until they drop, and they will.

The term belly gun comes from extremely short barrel handguns that you'll likely miss with if you're more than a few yards away.

This thread welcomes all armed citizens who carry a weapon every day, or even occasionally. That would include those with concealed carry permits, those who legally open carry while observing the laws of their state, law-enforcement personnel, and military personnel.

By "master race", I'm referring to those law-abiding individuals who have been vetted, trained, had their criminal backgrounds checked, are eligible for the right to legally carry a weapon, and are trusted citizens in the eyes of their local, state, and federal governments. It has nothing to do with "racism", so don't even start none. Gun-hating hoplophobic trolls not welcomed.

The thread also does not apply to street thugs, drug dealers, drug users, robbers, muggers, ineligible persons, felons, or anyone who is otherwise restricted from possessing or owning a firearm.

Pictures are good if you have them, and I'll start with my everyday carry loadout:

Glock G19 on the right side, in a Milt Sparks IWB leather holster. Two spare mags, OC spray, and a Colt Cobra .38 Spl. secondary weapon on the left side. 7" Gerber spring-assisted pocketknife, and if I have to go out after dark, 600-lumen pocket flashlight.

The nice thing about my setup is that the holsters hug the hip, leaving no "printing" when a hoodie or jacket is worn. It's easy to forget that you're wearing them, even during the Summer when I switch over to a shirt...

You're such a paranoid that you're carrying a wheel gun and an auto and spare mags?

Lmao!! Where do you think you live, Son? Downtown Beirut?

I do because I'm free, white, 21, and because I can. Why do law-enforcement officers carry spare mags and a backup gun?

Hint: It's not to protect you. They have no constitutional duty to protect your life.
