He knew by that time in his life (2014 or so) that being president is the most "public" job in America.

Also, he called for the release of the files. If he hesitated later, which it looks like he did, about releasing the files it could be because of someone he is trying to protect other than himself. Maybe things just "wouldn't look good" for that person.. God knows.

Everything the left demands they got. There was nothing to implicate Trump in any way. Examine Ghislaine Maxwell under oath. She's lying. Release Epstein's records. Not those. They don't mention Trump. The government investigation records. 33000 have been released. Nothing. Those records have been redacted. An anonymous FBI agent told democrats that Trump was mentioned numerous times. Where is he or she? No one quite remembers.

Around and around we go as democrats find a way of avoiding the truth. Trump and Epstein were in the same social circle and haven't spoken in years.
