Ok, maybe I phrased it a little strongly, but after living my whole life as a fairly short person, I feel a little insulted that my height is considered a bad attribute that must be treated with drugs. Imagine society deciding that your foot size was too big or too small and offering some "herbal supplement" to fix it. I think these commercials of how you can make people taller are just going to make more people self concious about their height...

I would *imagine* that this is how all the attention given to breast implants has made small-breasted women feel for decades. Ditto face lifts (can't have wrinkles now can we?). Welcome to the world of shallow advertising to and shallow consumerism.

LOL. Don't ya just love all those ads for breast creams, stretch mark removers, time erasers and so on. I saw a commercial that said if the wrinkle cream stings after being applied to your face, that means it's working!

See, and I like the look of a woman with a couple of wrinkles better than a woman with a facelift. And I prefer small breasts to implants. I just think all that surgury makes women look...unnatural. If you're really that worried about it, go ahead and get the surgury, but if it's all the same, I'd rather you not.

Being 5'9'' I was never the shortest person in the room but over the last 10 -20 years I have seen a huge change in both men and women's heights mostly women's.

For most of my life there were very few guys on the PGA Tour who were 6 feet tall. George Archer was a freak on that tour at 6'5". Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer were both under 6 feet. Now things are completely different, most are at least 6 feet.

It is obvious to me why this has happened, women have chosen taller guys and they have had taller kids. In todays world it is a must to be 6 feet if you want to be in the dating game. I have read personal ads for years and have seen this trend among women of all heights and ages especially younger. I have seen ads where women who admitted to being 5'2'' demanding a guy at least 6 feet. Another minimum I have been told by my female friends is at least 3'' taller than she is so she can wear 3'' heals and not tower over her man. I am not being oversensitive, being under 6' makes you notice being judged before even meeting someone. Having a beard all of my adult life I have noticed that facial hair is a disqualifier too.

What is funny is the guys from old and todays Hollywood that wouldn't qualify for a date with these women. Excelllent point! I don't need a companie's approval to decide if I feel good about myself. Between Enzyte, diet pills and the like, you would think there are very few people who have it "all." Everyone else needs a supplement to be "something" that society will approve of.

If you and your friends/family approve of you, tell everyone else - especially if their sole purpose in life is to make money - to take a flying leap.

Yep. All these things are big scams and rip-offs. I once tried some insoles I think they were called Kimi, or something, which did nothing, except make your feet sweaty. I came to the conclusion after wasting countless masses of money on these retarded inventions, that I really don't care what others think about me.

Height is merely genetics, it's not an accomplishment, it is certainly nothing to be proud of or upset with. Being taller in American society is supposedly a plus but with whom, shallow nitwits that have nothing else to offer than what they were born with. . .that's just pathetic. What constitutes short Clay, someone who isn't your height? What is tall, someone taller than you? Let me guess, the women in your family, shallow as it is, were attracted to taller men so they copulated with them and eventually you popped out, so what? If height truely matters should Yao Ming be the standard? It is all relative to the world around you. According to this chart of average heights of people around the world, over 6 feet is a freak.
