I have no doubt there is plenty of literature, history and theories about all this. The mixing of powers between business, religious and political leadership has always been a delicate dance and ripe with fraud and abuse.

To SQUEEZE a little more profit or productivity out of us, they have broken our unions, sent jobs overseas, outsourced, not given us fair raises, blablabla. From the late 70's to now CEO pay went up 1322% and our pay only 18%. Look it up.

It's not illegals, democrats, union workers, blacks, china. It's the White Male CEO's of our corporations that are ******* us. With the help of Republicans of course.

About 75-80% of Oregon can't stand the city of Portland....

And the riots currently ongoing in Portland are nothing new. Been going on since the 60's. It has periods of peace and the city blossoms but just to be destroyed later by riots.

I can remember several instances in the 70's, 80's and 90's of riots and civil unrest. They have a well developed bus system.

Nobody who wants to have a peaceful life lives anywhere near where the riots keep happening.

The docks there keep the community there flush with cash as well as Seattle/Tacoma area to the North.

Sport fishing as well as commercial fishing is huge there. Just a shame the place has never been a good place to live. Especially now with the volume of recreational drugs shipping in straight from China and Russia.

My wife and her entire family are from a former Communist country. They quickly saw that the Democratic Party’s policies were far too similar from the system they fled. Now that they have all but embraced Socialism, it is even more clear. Ask a Cuban immigrant if they want any part of Socialism. Castro famously said, “I am not a Communist”. But they will never catch ALL the street vendors selling knockoff watches, handbags, t-shirts, and etc. Then there's the coffee carts and soda carts. These aren't the roach coaches....these are just simple carts. Nothing much to license at all and gone with the wind. I'd get coffee and bagels all the time. Plus anything else I wanted. They are extremely convenient when you have a train to catch.
