The story would be WAY more believable if you removed the names "Hegseth" & "Trump" and replaced them with the names "Capone" and "Gambino." They already took Venezuelan oil and gave it to their "bosses" in Israel.

For them, this is a Judeo-christian's version of "Jihad." Their decisions are based on what they believe is "biblical prophecy." They actually believe that for America to be "blessed" we MUST bless Israel.

Unfortunately, they've completely accepted this false doctrine as the truth. They have a very skewed understanding of Bible prophecy and are walking the broad path to destruction. Christians have C.I. Scofield to blame for this misdirection.

The government refusing to do business with a company IS NOT putting the squeeze on anyone or anything. Anthropic has the right to maintain its standards, and folks in government have the right to use whatever suppliers they want to.

This is as it should be. Corporate values and corporate policy should not have influence over governments that voters choose. Anthropic still has a right to follow its own path, and the government will just choose to use other contractors more in line with its authoritarian police state philosophy.

Well Hegseth certainly has the emulation of Trump down pat. Accept the terms of the software agreement and then immediately move to violate the terms of the agreement (no military use) and if the company does not agree or comply, then breach or withdraw all of the company's contracts.

I don't care how you frame it, it's still extortion. And the customer is not ALWAYS right, sometimes the customer is a straight up asshole.
