Heads should roll over the electric car fiasco

So I should go buy something I don't need or want to support it?

If you practice what you preach you must be broke as fuck.
No, you should stop using something you believe is bad for the planet.

Actually I'm spending a whole shit load of money on things I don't need and I'm not going broke.

My trade is the most expensive fuel, and pollutes no less than any others

But you virtue signaling fools wish to think differently

How's that workin' out?

It's the remedy that those want us to believe or need Ding....~S~

You just admitted you don't believe you need or want to lower your carbon emissions. Brilliant.

They live in alternate realities so it works just fine for them.

Yes, a Porsche. I have looked at the Taycan but the infrastructure to support it isn't here in Kansas yet. Then there's the fact that I rarely if ever buy a brand new car. Slightly used is the way to go. Let somebody else take the first big depreciation hit.

Besisdes that the more folks are driving electric/hybrid, the more likely us hobbyists with older cars will be able to continue our hobbies.
If you want to waste money, buy one. After 3 to 4 years, it'll be worth zero because no one will want to buy it because a replacement battery will cost more than the value of the car.

Infrastructure to meet 2050 means copper mining needs to double by 2035. It takes 29 years to open a copper mine, so simple maths says no.

That 29 yars thing is only in the US. It's all about the permitting and such.

Who can afford a car now? Levin was raging against electric cars last night and that people should have the freedom to buy 'whatever the hell' they want without pointing out that the US was designed in such a way that the freedom to not have a car doesn't really exist. You can buy whatever the hell car you want that you have to buy.
