He thinks they're tuning in to see him.

Bragging about ratings has been Trump's schtick since he started running, that is not new or news.
Constantly whining about Trump is not going to change any votes in November.
Trump's approval ratings are at his highest, so an incumbent has the advantage.
Maybe you should just quote polls that show Biden beating Trump by 9-points?
Most other presidents also brag about their ratings too....

Bush was famously seen checking the Nielsen ratings when he announced the start of the Iraq invasion....

If the ratings didn't outdo the ratings Sienfeld were getting -- he said he would have called off the Iraq war...

Now would have been an excellent time for Trump to rise above the bullshit and finally become The President. He could have strolled to an easy reelection but he cannot do it. Hard partisan till the bitter end. He is ultimately a coward and true heroics are beyond him.

FYI, he's strolling to an easy election now and if the leftists chose Quid Pro Joe its over.
Nothing leads to reelection like failed policy, huge deficits, and shutting down the country.
1. Trump's promises kept are more than enough for reelection
2. Deficits are just what DC does, like they are unusual?!
3. Shutting down the country was required to save lives, especially healthcare lives
His failures are many. Where is the best healthcare? Tax cuts neither paid for themselves or grew the economy. Trillion dollar deficits during good times are not normal. Now the country is shut down from his poor leadership.
1. Please list a few Trump failures, and nothing partisan, like "faux impeachment"
2. The best healthcare is in the USA
3. Agree personal tax cuts are bad. Top rate needs to go up and a VAT added to pay down Debt
4. Partial shutdown is necessary due to medical emergency, how about you blame China for their non-Bio-weapon "bat disease" supposedly from a "live market"
I did list failures. Healthcare was a failure. His tax cuts were a failure. Partial shutdown is necessary because he failed to take it seriously. Until recently he was claiming it was just going to go away. The country was in way better shape before Trump. All his policies have failed and the country is more divided than ever.
Ok, your perspective is just "partisan", Trump's approval rating is fine, we'll see in November if the voters prefer Biden.
1. Obamacare was a failure, we didn't save $2,500 each, we lost up to $10,000 each in new deductibles. The Obamacare rollout and the web site that didn't work was the biggest disaster and embarrassment in US history. It was a train wreck, and you whine about Trump.
2. Tax cuts did help the economy, but the Debt needs to be addressed, Medicare will be bankrupt in 2026, and SS bankrupt in 2037. WTF did Nancy and her House majority do to help the Budget? <nothing>
3. Partial shutdown is required, its a pandemic, do we want 2.2m dead? No we don't.
4. If you are correct and Trump is a failure then you have nothing to worry about in November. Why whine about everything? Joe Biden will save the day like "mighty mouse".
I’m an independent. What was partisan?
He promised the best healthcare and failed to pass anything. Fact.
He promised the tax cuts would pay for themselves and we would have 4-6% growth. He delivered trillion dollar deficits and less than 3% growth.
Trump promised a wall and Mexico is going to pay for it. There is no wall and Mexico sure isn’t paying for it.

He has been a failure. That doesn’t require being partisan.

1. Trump is president, he can't pass laws by himself. The democrats passed Obamacare and getting back to a free market healthcare system needs 60 senate votes, not likely, not Trump's fault
2. Agree, tax cuts were a GOP failure, not just a Trump failure, so why didn't Nancy fix it? The House controls the "purse strings", correct?
3. Trump's wall is a success, Mexico could pay for it if Congress would pass a "remittance tax" on all money sent out of the US. Why won't they?
You seem quite partisan. You just make up weak excuses and admit tax cuts are a failure. Huge debt is quite the failure. While his precious stock gains were lost in a week, the debt he grew remained. He has been a failure, nothing he has done will last other than the debt. What do you think has gone well?
1. Huge Debt is the norm. How can you call Trump a failure? Do I need to post a graph of Debt by president?
2. The stock gains/loss were a function of the virus, not Trump's actions. They should recover by November.
3. What has gone well are Trump's "promises kept" list. I won't list them all and spam the thread
Increasing debt drastically during good times is not the norm.
Will they come back? Who knows, but the debt will be there.
Give me his biggest non partisan accomplishment. Let’s hear it.
Here are a few off the top:
1. Rebuilding the US military
2. Making NATO fund their militaries per commitments
3. Telling Germany not to buy Russian LNG to fund their military
4. Killing ISIS in short order when BO let them explode in 2015
5. Getting us out of AFG
6. Using Tariffs to advantage, especially getting China to heel
7. Bringing back US manufacturing, use antibiotics as an example
8. Reducing opioid deaths after 20 years of continuous increases up to 70,000 a year
9. Making the US energy independent
10. Reducing federal job killing regulations

If MSM outlets stop providing coverage they shouldn't be allowed to ask questions and their seats should be given to media outlets who will live stream press briefing.

Ratings have been generally dismal for Trump, usually stuck at 38% probably only his rally folks.
If Trump gets us thru the pandemic and back to work he should be fine in November.

What is easy about it?

What states are you talking about?

It is not common for all networks to provide coverage indefinitely

The normalization of behavior previously regarded as completely unacceptable is one of the more dangerous aspects of the Divider-in-Chief's presidency.
Everything Borg80 says, sounds like this:

That’s really all partisan garbage.

What has he done that makes this country better?

Trump is bragging on Twitter about his coronavirus briefings getting lots of viewers
Increasingly, members of the media are concerned this large audience is being given dangerous, incorrect information.

President Donald Trump boasted about the ratings of his daily live news conferences on the coronavirus Sunday, and suggested that the large viewer numbers — rather than the misleading remarks he has made during them — are fueling discussions in the media about ending the practice of broadcasting them live and unfiltered.

“Because the ‘Ratings’ of my News Conferences etc. are so high, ‘Bachelor finale, Monday Night Football type numbers’ according to the [New York Times], the Lamestream Media is going CRAZY,” Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon.
...................................................................................................................................................
This kind of behavior is what would land most people in front of professionals to get psychiatric care.
“Members of the media are concerned”

File this one under who gives a fuck.

Ah the tariff failure that lead to a huge bailout for farmers and hurt manufacturing. Only a partisan would list that as a good thing,

Five of Donald Trump's most misleading coronavirus claims

  • Nobody knew there would be a pandemic or epidemic of this proportion’
  • ‘It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle – it will disappear’
  • Anybody that needs a test gets a test. We – they’re there. They have the tests. And the tests are beautiful’
  • ‘I’ve always known this is a real – this is a pandemic. I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. I’ve always viewed it as very serious’
  • Americans will have access ‘to vaccines, I think, relatively soon’
"It’s precisely the critical importance of conveying accurate information in a time of crisis that has spurred many political analysts and members of the press to argue that it’s dangerous to present Trump’s words to the public through live broadcasts. Trump has made dozens of false claims during the briefings, including overstating the potential of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for Covid-19, and falsely saying that anyone who wants to be tested for coronavirus infections can get one."
Worth Remembering...and repeating often

5. Going after gangs like MS-13

Speaking of long term trends, unemployment was trending down for years before trump. No reason to believe he gets any credit.
Tariffs lead to huge farmer bailout, huge steel layoffs, manufacturing decline.
What did trump do for opioid deaths?
Give some numbers on how we are better with strict border enforcement. What improved?
We always go after gangs. They are still here.

See now most of that does nothing for me. Military didn’t need rebuilding. Should have prepared for a pandemic clearly.
Nato? So?
Tariffs hurt manufacturing.
That’s really all partisan garbage.

What has he done that makes this country better?
What has Trump done to make the country better?
1. Record low unemployment in all groups
2. Opposed China's unfair trade practices
3. Reducing opioid deaths from 70,000/yr
4. Strict immigration enforcement
5. Going after gangs like MS-13

There are long term trends that aren't Trump's fault, and nothing he can do about either, like "income inequality", the rich keep getting richer.

Obama's UE numbers were flattening in 2016 not doing better than 2007, Trump is in record UE territory.

Tariffs are working, some countries push back, who let China get so powerful in the 1st place? (globalists)

You wake up out of your partisan stupidity. I'm a populist not a globalist. Biden and the democrats will sell you out to China in a heartbeat and pocket the cash. You like the urban plantations and how they are run? Here are the democrat policies that at least one of the candidates promoted. You tell me which ones you don't like, just the numbers will do:
1. Open borders, tear down the southern border fence/wall
2. Sanctuary cities & states
3. Free college
4. "Medicare for all", aka rationed healthcare, "Lois Lerner" in charge of your access to healthcare
5. Eliminate ICE and DHS, turn the US into the EU, with muslim "no go zones" and Sharia Law
6. Promote Globalism, whatever Wall Street wants Wall Street gets, see K-Street Cash
7. Paris Climate Change Treaty where the US pays $trillions to poor countries
8. Stupid trade agreements, e.g tax breaks to move factories overseas
9. Let China run roughshod over the US for trade and intellectual property theft
10. Let NK develop nukes and ICBM delivery systems, have no one capable of dealing with NK
11. Raise taxes to 70% on the wealthy, especially on corporations so they relocate overseas
12. Decriminalize all drug use and possession, Opioid deaths increase across the US
13. Gangs like MS-13 running rampant across the US
14. No steel or mining industries due to foreign "dumping" of subsidized products
15. No new pipelines and no offshore drilling
16. Medicare for all means rural hospitals will close
17. The dems' "Central Committee" appoints super-delegates to subvert real voters in primaries
18. Pack the US Supreme Court to promote liberal policies
19. Impeach anyone they deem not liberal enough, like Kavanaugh
20. Use the Federal Government to punish conservatives, like the IRS and Lois Lerner hounded conservatives
21. Use the Intel community to spy on the opposition party, like Hillary, FusionGPS, and the FBI/DOJ spied on Trump
22. Block voter ID laws to ensure fraud, and promote "vote harvesting" to steal elections
23. Refuse to provide funding for border walls/security, which DHS says is desperately needed.
24. Give $Trillions to Mexico and Central America for a Marshal Plan, but not help US citizens living in tent cities
25. Impose gun control, outlaw private gun sales, outlaw AR style rifles, restrict sales of bullets, etc.
26. "Green New Deal" Impose a "carbon tax" to punish anyone who works, heats their home, flies, or has a car
27. Anti-business democrat socialists caused Amazon to flee NYC taking 25,000 good paying jobs to VA
28. REPARATIONS to blacks to pay for slavery, $trillions owed by US voters
29. Excuse the murder of unwanted newborns, i.e. "infanticide"
30. Change the Electoral College to popular vote
31. All prisoners get to vote, even the Boston Marathon Bomber, so says Bernie
32. LGBTQ rights, trannys in military
33. Increase domestic surveillance, especially on "white supremacist" organizations
34. Add Senators and congressmen for DC and Puerto Rico
35. Be sure that any "red flag" laws exclude gang members (only get those rural guns)
36. Full welfare and free healthcare for illegal immigrants
37. Eliminate Hallmark channel for being racist, sexist and anti-LGBTQ
38. Eliminate the "cash bail system" whereby all criminals walk out after committing a crime.
39. Nationalize all of the electric utilities making them green by 2030
40. Pass "The New Way Forward Act", bringing back 480,000 deported illegals, giving them free everything

Now would have been an excellent time for Trump to rise above the bullshit and finally become The President. He could have strolled to an easy reelection but he cannot do it. Hard partisan till the bitter end. He is ultimately a coward and true heroics are beyond him.

That’s some imagination you have. None of it changes that almost everything trump has done has been a failure. You should really think about that.
