A witness said now that there had already been a fire in Dec 2024 …. but it could be put out quickly

On the evening news a witness said that at midnight, the waitresses were serving bottles of champagne with lighted sparklers stuck in the bottles, which they were carrying on a tray held high. Apparently, the height at which they were being carried was high enough for the sparks from the sparklers to reach the wooden ceiling which then ignited. The fire is alleged to have spread from there.

Underneath the wooden ceiling there was a lot of plastic foam.

Italy has protested, as the owner of that bar has been released from prison.
