Have the Republicans in congress read the Constitution on Impeachment and the case law and legal opinions written over the years. Their arguments defending Trump do not indicate they have.

Impeachment is a power given to congress by the Constitution

U.S. Constitution, Article II, section 4
The Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power to impeach an official, and it makes the Senate the sole court for impeachment trials.

short summary of opinions
The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct by officials. Offenses by officials also include ordinary crimes, but perhaps with different standards of proof and punishment than for non-officials, on the grounds that more is expected of officials by their oaths of office. Indeed the offense may not even be a breach of criminal statute. See Harvard Law Review "The majority view is that a president can legally be impeached for 'intentional, evil deeds' that 'drastically subvert the Constitution and involve an unforgivable abuse of the presidency' — even if those deeds didn’t violate any criminal laws."[1]

Yep, go for it. That should end any career plans any of the democrats ever dreamed of.

So Trump could be impeached for the misdemeanor of pilfering a package of chewing gum? I'm pretty sure he hasn't done that.

The only thing he stole was the left's ability to think and act in a rational manner. I wish he'd give it back, they sure have turned into an unhinged and irrational bunch of people.

Have y'all angry lefties read the constitution? Congress can recommend impeachment but the senate conducts the trial. Maybe y'all should look up the definition of "political coup" as long as you have the dictionary in your fevered hands.

The Trump Presidency and the impeachment specifically has seperated the citizenery and the politicians into two camps.
The Trump camp that has no morals, no ethics. They do what is expedient to provide self-serving needs in the short term without regard to the long term. There is no trust. They are doing everything to increase the power of the Presidency so their messiah Trump can do more of his unchecked corrupt governing.
The other camp is the anti-Trumpers who are doing everything possible to check a rogue President who is abusing the emense power of the office to crush any resistence. As you mention many are risking their careers to do what is right.
Trump and his minions will go down, it is just a matter of when.

The Democrats are taking the Impeachment clause of the Constitution and twisting it into a pretzel to justify their Hail Mary cut and paste case against the President. Everyone with a brain knows it's a joke.

Trump and his minions will go down, it is just a matter of when.

1. What has President Trump done in his presidency, that could be considered "immoral" or "unethical"?

2. How are any of this President's actions geared for the "short term"? Actually, many of his accomplishments will outlast you or I, the benefits of which won't even be fully realized for years, possibly decades.

3. I not only trust this President with my life, I trust him with your life. Nuff said.

4. A President needs to be powerful, as opposed to the weak pussy Obama was. He was an ass-clown who was not respected by our enemies.

5. How has President Trump been "corrupt"? Is he gaining wealth from his position? Not hardly. He doesn't need it, and even donates his salary to charities. Now had you mentioned Biden, I would have agreed with you. He did use the power of his position to enrich himself and his family.

6.Never-Trumpers suck. They are no better than the left over Obama-supporters still embedded within the government. Much like ticks, you can pull the body off, but the head is still embedded in your skin. Their precious "careers" mean nothing when they're attempting to overthrow a legally-elected and constitutionally-legitimate President. They should all be purged, each and every one of them.

7. Trump and his supporters will not "go down." This phony "impeachment" facade in the House will result in nothing. Even if it did, it will be thrown out on the first day in the Senate. President Trump has hardly budged an inch, if you look the the RCP average of all the Presidential Approval Rating polls. Nor are his supporters leaving him. Have you not even watched any of his rallies lately? Compare the turnout in those to the measly numbers any Democrat is drawing.

You have tried the entire gamut of ridiculous ideas, in order to unseat this President, and all of them have failed, one after another. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would tell you that you Democrats are in a world of shit, and there isn't a single thing you can do about it. SO suck it up and deal with it. May God grant you the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can, and most importantly, the wisdom to know the difference.

It certainly isn't impeachment and yes I perfectly understand the senate has to convict and removed and that won't be done.

Yikes, the anti-Trump camp, truth instead of facts, make up any ole shit to see if it sticks to the call, guilty until proven innocent....dumbass.

Republicans are in a tricky spot, because their voters are all of the sort that fall for the most transparent deceptions. So if they go against the president, he can smear them during their primaries.
