Has Trump really gained ANY voters???

A mandate is conferred by people not districts.

Right, but demographics and circumstances change with time so you cannot compare races based on statistics alone, and Trump, a guy with no political experience who had never even held any office before and with 99.9% of the Media predicting he had no chance, not only soundly beat out 17 highly skilled and experienced, well-known professional politicians with all of DC against him, FILLED stadiums to over-flowing to unprecedented levels never seen before in this nation, and continues to this day far far in excess of predicted front-runner Hillary despite a billion-dollar campaign. Not only is that a mandate, it is the very DEFINITION of a mandate and you'd see and admit that if you didn't have your head a mile up your ass!
If he had a mandate he would not have entered office with lowest appoval rating of any president measured. Think about that while you examine your ass.

No, I disagree. I don't think Hillary is out of the picture. I think she may run again in 2020, and that Trump knows this. Why not? If our society today generally had enough widespread intelligence and our media enough honesty and integrity to quit deceiving the people for Trump's mandate to have high approval ratings, then there would be no need for him or his mandate in the first place.

If that was a mandate, what would a 'not-mandate' win look like?

And both Clintons would be in jail.

Obsessed much?

Republicans are pissed about losing in Alabama

Will Trump be the scapegoat for their wrath over the failure of the party?

Trump tries to placate angry Conservatives

I may have lost Alabama ....but I fired Omarosa

I voted for the guy from Utah. Trump hasn't won me over but I'm feeling a bit better about his protectionist attitude in regards to trade. With the unemployment figures continuing to remain good, I now doubt we'll see anything more than some tweaking of NAFTA, which was bound to take place anyway.

So has he gained my vote? I still doubt he'll run in 2020 but if so, I'll be open minded.

Trump is one of the few bright rays of intelligence we've seen in years to finally get an honest, non-politician in the White House who is not part of the game. The fact that you think otherwise just goes to show the power of the media over the minds of the average voter.

It's obvious that Hillary has health issues whether she admits it or not. She has also said she will not run again. Of course a lot of people say that, but I think she's had it. Lastly, Democrats are looking for someone new, someone that can attract young voters and minorities without alienating centralist and can appeal to voters concerned with the morals and integrity of the president.

Hillary simple has too much baggage, too many scandals and investigations, and too much hatred from the right. The only reason she got nominated was democrats firmly believed that American would never elect a slime ball like Trump. Obviously they were wrong and certainly won't make that mistake again.

I don't think she does have health issues -- and I watched all that footage, incl. her getting lifted into the van. She's not as vigorous as Trump, true, but who is?

I don't think the Dems HAVE anyone else. I don't think they can run Fauxcahontas. She's the same age as Hillary anyway, and talk about baggage!

So the smart thing to do if Trump is riding high, for instance in the middle of a war or just very popular, is to run the usual sacrificial lamb. Like Mitt Romney was. Did he really suppose PC-obsessed America would turn out THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT :bow3: :bow3: :bow3: :bow3: ? Hillary would make a plausible and good sacrificial lamb. She couldn't win, but they tried, they could say.

The only thing against that is that it's a rule in politics (No. 7?) that you cannot run for president (or really any office) more than twice. Twice is okay, but three times and you're Harold Stassen.

Hillary Clinton was the best qualified candidate by far in 2016

She would have been a vastly superior president to the man we elected

It'd be a very safe bet to conclude that EVERY Trump supporter on here voted for Trump in 2016.

And, if these same supporters state that they "won" last time and given the same infantile Trump antics since last year, they could win again......

But, they'd be wrong.

Trump has LOST many voters (the Pew poll underscores that almost 20% of evangelicals no longer support him.)...Further, the anti-Clinton voters with Hillary removed from any further viability, may now vote for virtually anyone BUT Trump.

Sure, Trump may have gained a vote here and there from some democrat millionaire who stands to "hit the jackpot" if Trump's tax scam goes through...But, besides that odd individual, WHO could claim that Trump has "won them over"???

With his landslide win he doesn't need any new voters.

But I bet he has...
