The 2 year Treasury yield this morning is 3.4%. That looks pretty good to me, I'm thinking of buying some and was wondering if anyone has purchased treasuries and/or if they used TreasuryDirect.com to buy them?

Yes. Just setup the account and bid at an upcoming auction. If you wish to sell early, you'll need to transfer the securities to a broker. Me neither! But 3.4% got me intrigued since I've got cash on the sidelines.Interesting.....I never thought about it.
Taxes and inflation? I don't know......but it is a safe investment.Me neither! But 3.4% got me intrigued since I've got cash on the sidelines.

Just read the info on the TD site. It's fairly well written, although you may have to chase some links for detailed info. If you have spare cash, consider I bonds, up to 10k/person/yr. Current yield is 9.62%, it resets every 6 months based upon CPI-U.Good info, thanks ZZ!
