If would-be smokers take up Vaping instead,

And if smoking is deadly, but Vaping is only somewhat harmful,

Outlawing Vaping will likely lead to more young people smoking...

Which would be quite stupid.

Which explains why New York, California, Massachusetts and Illinois are very aggressive about their latest campaign to outlaw vaping.

What can you say for left-think? They think you prevent criminals from killing people by banning the law-abiding from owning guns, and they think you prevent children from vaping by banning adults from doing it.

Why not just tell kids "no vaping"?

will they all listen? no. But some will, and nothing you can do about that. Rules are broken all the time, pretending like there is a utopia thing going on is crazy.

When I was in school, they told us "no smoking", at least it wasn't being done in the boys room at my school. Outside.
