This is an eco-oriented American mosaic inspired by the upcoming Captain Planet film (producer: Leo DiCaprio).

Signing off (have a safe and happy summer, USMB!),

Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise were diplomats of modern magazine/celebrity culture in America. They were considered gods of cinema and therefore 'gods' of mob psychology. They took such an honor seriously and considered themselves representatives of American ideals and imagination.

As expected their fans and groupies considered them not merely celebrities but 'soldiers' or even 'generals' of a new 'media empire.' Surely, Hanks and Cruise would not avert their faces away from such a limelight and concede that they themselves might want to consider themselves as 'soldiers' of a new kind of republic --- one based on storytelling(!).

America is a land of dialogue, so as expected, not everyone might be completely 'enveloped' by such 'celebrity hypnosis.' We might find a radical Internet-blogger who dresses up as a pseudo-vigilante and writes about how cinema obsessions have blinded the public to the terrible truths of modernism --- namely eco-pollution/toxic-waste and biochemical warfare. We might even find another American celebrity/actor who makes radicalism-oriented American films such as Escape from New York and Captain Ron who might not be completely 'sold' on the concept that American movies automatically create mass optimism...

American journalists do not want to miss the 'action' from such sociocultural intrigue. They want to cover the news that matters to today's citizens. They want to report on what Planet Hollywood does to consumerism/capitalism and what liberals and radicals might want to contribute to such a discussion. Otherwise, they won't appreciate or understand why Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise are like modern era 'priests.'

stone10.jpg

America needs to lead the way in eco-consciousness and renewable-energy research and development. America is already lagging behind the OPEC nation of Algeria in eco-friendly wind-energy development. So why do Americans make films like The Toxic Avenger, and why do American youngsters like eco-imaginarium comic book characters such as Captain Planet and Swamp Thing? These sorts of questions affect conservatives, liberals, celebrities, philosophers, musicians, and sociologists.

stone13.jpg

American politicians today are expected to understand the social value of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), since industrialization must be tempered with 'eco-hygiene.' Mishandled toxic-waste and water-pollution are serious 'ailments' of modern civilization, which is why celebrity/actor Leo DiCaprio manages his own eco-activism group (The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation). No one wants toxic-waste to be the 'signature' of the American empire. Actors/actresses these days make eco-imaginative films --- e.g., Erin Brockovich, Bio-Dome, The Emerald Forest, Waterworld.

stone12.jpg

Americans love Facebook and MGM Theme Park. They love Polaroids and smartphone-cameras. Americans like to 'record' just about everything. They even make movies about photojournalism and photo-imagination (e.g., Celebrity, One Hour Photo). In this 'real-time' environment, what matters most is of course...storytelling(!).

stone7.jpg

American musicians might want to perform at an eco-charity concert or participate in some media eco-event. Leo DiCaprio himself is planning a Captain Planet movie. We might see female American rock-musician Sheryl Crow performing at a benefit sponsored by DiCaprio's eco-group! This is really the drama of democracy --- participant politics. Politics is culture in the age of commercial aesthetics (e.g., Wall Street, The Social Network)...

Americans appreciate access to EWTN (Catholic-TV) especially now that all kinds of religion-access TV are popular such as Al Jazeera (Muslim-TV)! This sort of 'pedestrianism prose' is imprinted onto this new trend of mob psychology rhetoric seen in symbolic comic book characters/avatars such as Captain America, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. What does the Vatican make of the comics-adapted American TV series about Satan titled Lucifer (Fox TV)?
