Since the Egyptian leaders are not too happy with Hamas, I doubt there will be any concessions made except to bring critically injured Arabs across the border to be treated at their hospitals. Other than that, Egypt is probably thinking -- too bad; you shouldn't have started what you did.

The terror group started a fight with Israel to get Cairo to make concessions, especially at the Rafah Border Crossing, but who remembers that now?

An Israeli delegation had returned from Cairo Thursday morning, where they tried unsuccessfully to reach a ceasefire. According to Egyptian media reports, the delegations from the two sides stayed in the same hotel in Cairo, as Egyptian mediators ran between them trying to bring about a truce.

I think that's a reasonable analysis - after all, Egypt has not only recognized Israel but has kept their side of the peace treaty with her.

So in HAMAS' book, Egypt is *also* an enemy, for not fighting Israel.
