When the British army were fighting the Provisional IRA West Belfast was one of their strongholds but we didn't call airstrikes in and level the whole area we sent Soldiers in to get people, some of the IRA were based just over the border in the Irish Republic we didn't level Dublin.

I’m afraid I do not have enough knowledge of that conflict to be able to speak to a valid comparison. Pretty sure a vast tunnel network wasn’t part of it though.

Well i do have a vast knowledge of it because i lived through the terrorism, two cousins served in the British army at that time, in one incident we lost 18 soldiers when the IRA set off an IED right on the Border with the Republic in fact they were in the Republic and used a comand wire, like i said we didn't wipe Dublin off the map with the RAF.
