Guns in America vol MMXIXWTF: Woman Shot in Own Driveway

>> A Texas woman was horrifically murdered in her driveway while setting up a garage sale to raise money for her wedding anniversary - and it was all caught on video.

Elizabeth 'Liz' Barraza, 29, was outside her Tomball home on January 25 when a black pickup truck pulled up and parked across the street. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, who appears to be a woman dressed in a light colored robe, getting out of the truck and quickly walking toward Barraza's home.

The video shows Barraza appearing to freeze at the sight of the shooter and taking a step back when they approach her, exchanging a few words. Just eight seconds pass before the suspect lifts their arm and shoots her at point-blank rage, firing three times. Barraza falls to the ground and the suspect steps over her body and fires one more shot. They are then seen sprinting back to the car and speeding away from the scene.

... Barraza's family said she planned the garage sale to make extra money for a trip she and Sergio were taking for their fifth wedding anniversary. They were supposed to leave two days after she was murdered. <<

Having lived in Texas for many years, I can tell you Texas doesn’t have a gun problem, it has a Latino thug problem.

Build the wall and deport the illegals, and 90% of these types of crimes go away.

Ain't it instructive that all these wags waddle in here with fantasies of Mexican gangs, mistresses, this, that, as excuses. Nobody has the balls to say it was wrong. That says as much as our culture of death as the gun fetish itself.

Oh and then they immediately sidetrack over to their personal preference of pacifier toys made to do the same thing.

Without looking them up I'm sure all of those were like blowguns and poison darts and rubber bands with spitballs. Because "Texas doesn't have a gun problem". I read it right here.

What he left out was ".... any more than the rest of the US".

More stories of Texas' lack-of-gun-problem just on the index page of that same site and just from the last few months:

Jeremy Wade Delle, 16, shot himself in front of classmates at Richardson High School in Texas in January 1991

The majority of all gun murder is committed by minorities in criminal gangs......

mass shooting deaths in 2017... 117

Gun murder total 2017.... 10,982

Not all of the mass public shootings were committed by whites in 2017......can you see which number is bigger and who caused most of the gun murder...?

Hey, genius......26 lives were saved at the Sutherland Springs shooting because a normal, law abiding gun owner, an NRA instructor, used his privately owned AR-15 to stop the shooter.....and as research shows, when the victims of a mass public shooting have guns, they are 94% effective at stopping the shooting and reducing deaths and injuries......

You are making the deaths worse with your gun free zones.......they allow killers access to more helpless victims...

I wish we could do that here. But typically when these cases happen here it’s the border bros working it out.

Yeah um.... this was Houston, Dumbass. Nearest "border" is Louisiana. Which also has a gun problem.

Alternate title for the partisan hacks, translated to the language they're used to:

"Republican Murders Innocent Small Businesswoman in Republican-Controlled Red State".

Considering that over the last 26 years, more Americans own and actually carry guns.......and our gun murder rate went down 49%, our gun crime rate went down 75%, and our violent crime rate went down 72%......and your post has no meaning, since the truth, the facts and the on the ground reality all show you don't know what you are talking about. Add to that the research done by the Centers for Disease Control that shows Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million times a year to stop violent criminals, and to save lives...and again, you have nothing....

Over the last 26 years, we went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 17.25 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2018...guess what happened...

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

You take your stats to the family, Sparkles. I'm sure they'll give you a cupcake in gratitude or some shit.

I will take the stats to the victims...the victims who are alive today because they had a gun to stop the rapist, robber and killer who tried to victimize them......that would be 1.1 million Americans each year using their guns to save lives, not take them....I'll take those stats to the people who lived because you didn't take their guns from them.

You'll do no such thing. You'll sit in your easy chair on your message board picking your nose while playing Internet Gun Guy, then you'll take out the garbage. Because you don't have the stones to go see this grieving family and say that to their faces.

And you, the asshole, won't go to the survivor of a rape, robbery and murder and tell them...."You know, you should have been raped, robbed and/or murdered because you shouldn't have had that gun, the gun that saved you from the rape, robbery and murder.....you should have been forced to have sex by a violent criminal, had your property stolen from you, and likely been left dead on the street...that would have been better for everyone....but sadly, you had a gun, and you used it to stop the rape, robbery or murder.....too bad......maybe next time the criminal will attack someone who doesn't have a gun, and they will be raped, robbed or murdered.....which would be better ..."

Go and do that you doofus....
