I think you have that backwards. The unions are leaving the D Party because it has become much like the R Party. It doesn’t give a shit about the working class.
You're wrong, gipper. During his lifetime, my husband ran a department with 500 Union men in it. With overtime, every last one of them made a bigger paycheck than his. He never once complained, never once failed to pay a bill, never once cheated anybody else for his entire life. He was full management. And he got into trouble with other managers for making certain his men each got a winter's coat that would take the chill off when they were up on 50-foot high highwires trying to correct problems on frozen lines in chill factors well below the minus forty that registered on the thermometers in January and other cold months, depending on Mother Nature's moods.
Some bosses care about their men and women, and they find time to attend Church every week, serve on benevolent fundraisers like the Kiwanis who were the first sponsors of the National Olympics for Handicapped people and sponsor their wives little tiny efforts to supply quilts to Hospices that serve dying people, Squad car quilts to treat victims of shock found where the cops find serious wrecks involving people who would die if not treated for their shock, quilts for handicapped day care centers who provide services for single moms whose children are rejected by other caregivers due to the amount and expense of treating these kids for keeping them alive and reasonably happy, and other neglected places they find needs in the community that aren't as wonderful as providing winnerships for all who compete in the handicapped Olympics which are still going as I understand it. My husband was a poster child person for being a Republican. Total thoughtfulness for other people and taking actions that will save lives such as making certain his people did once a week safety meetings that taught them safety when dealing with fixing stuff 50 feet up and in the worst weather, when most the horrible outages happen. In 25 years under his tutelage, he had zero lost time accidents and never once had to go to a widow's home to inform her her husband died because of electrocution on a high wire from who knows how many volts of electricity that would've gone through his body had he done any one little thing wrong, including going to work unhappy. All aspects of what causes accidents were addressed in those meetings. And my husband, their boss, made sure they were happy campers before they went up there. He even climbed poles in his thin business suits to deliver coffee to them up there in the middle of the air trying to keep their fingers limber enough to do the right maneuver to get the power back on safely.
Don't send a person to hell just because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. President Trump has set aside his profits and I understand his losses are at the 30% loss of what he had before he became president and what he has today.
He's just a good guy who doesn't know how to take unfair flack, because he has practiced fairness all his life.
Just ask yourself what are you kicking at when you kick down a reasonably just and good man who happens to support Republican values?
I don't hear you when you say management doesn't care about their workers. That just isn't true these days. When it comes down to life or death, management goes with life.
