War is war and they lost some territory.
I agree with getting federal troops involved, but we can do one of two things with the troops:
1. Use the troops to cover the southern border, with orders to shoot if necessary. Once they start losing some people, the tide will end.
2. Actually invade Mexico on the premise to end the drug-cartel wars down there and in so doing, end or significantly reduce the flow of illegal drugs north. Once that's accomplished, toss out their government and law enforcement, then make it a state. That will punish them.
