Ground Beef Hits All Time High - Market is 3Xs Size Of Egg Market

RE the number of bankruptcies, they are way lower than most years out of the last 20, so we can ignore the usual TDS rubbish from idiots who just can't think for themselves and just parrot whatever idiot crap they're told to parrot.

People with a normal level of intelligence can even find which crops are the least likely to turn a profit. We can also note how small the percentages of bankruptcies are compared to the number of farms. Of course since this involves math n stuff the commie doper Democrat base will just be confounded and get all butthurt.

Canadian government wants to be assholes and Argentina doesn't. Guess what happens?
Canada's been f*cking us over for years.
Dairy, lumber, beef. Actually they can't do that much because of the cold. (beefwise)
Not as easily as America can. When Argentinian beef is cheaper than Canadian? Guess what? Capitalism. Market forces decide.
true, canada has not been a good neighbor in those regards
so we spend more to import farther away due to this

logically we just need to increase our own production, it's not as if we don't have the land

maybe 15% got mad cow imported from mexico and they had to be culled and removed, not fit
for slaughter, that is logical

this is a perfect time if you have a fenced property with grass and water to use your land to make money

you basically are guaranteed to make a profit

basically, soy this year, wheat, barley, mustard, etc

I know some farmers, they rotate their crops to what is in demand and it's good for the soil not to
plant the same thing year after year

just a matter or basic research, futures as they will call it, not rock solid but a forecast of what looks to be
the money crop that year

My state (west coast fully corrupt and dimwit socialists) are doing their best to undermine ranchers, over tax, over control, restrict water usage for growing cattle feed (more than doubled bale costs over past 3 years). Many ranchers are selling out and moving to greener pastures (freedom states).
But don't worry about me, I'm getting high quality ground beef at $5 bucks a pound (50lbs) packaged and filling up the freezer.

I'm sure it's mutual but Argentina, how much land do they have for beef?
transports costs? yeah that's on the high side

Actually better off playing nice with Canada for their beef to be honest

less logistics, less cost
Argentina (in terms of land mass) is the 8th largest nation on earth. There's lots of land to produce all sorts of livestock. But I don't believe it's necessary to rely on them or on Canada. There's plenty of land here in the USA to produce all the beef we'll ever need. The problem is that the US Government regulates our cattlemen to death while giving other beef growers of the world a free pass (for the most part).

We don't know what sorts of antibiotics and growth hormones are going into foreign beef. We should focus on helping OUR cattle ranchers to thrive here on our soil instead of stifling their ability to do what they do best -- feed Americans.

America First.

That's a complete and total lie. Biden SAVED farms and farmers. Farm bankruptcies hit record levels with Trump in office. Farm bankruptcies for the first half of 2025, exceeded all farm bankruptcies in 2024.

Farmers voted for Trump, and lost their farms as a result.

Stop scouring the leftist kook sites.

I see it the other way: Chances are South American countries aren't letting Bill Gates or Fauci types inject their livestock with poison for the populace.

not wrong, research the pampas area has 750KM of open grasslands and 57% of all cattle are raised here

I doubt they used anything we don't either, everybody wants cattle getting larger as much as possible

the USA, we pull them in from grass and feed them bulk grains and other garbage to gain weight

your best meat, buy local from grass fed without chemicals and not juiced up for profit

you might need to explain why the USG regulates cattle, to what point, what benefit?

cows give birth, they grow, most females are not slaughtered as they are breed stock, the males are

keep a good bull or two around to knock up the rest, rinse and repeat

not sure what hand the government has in this part other than the FDA if at all

they regulate the meat when it's being processed but not grown, once it's sold it's out of the ranchers hands

The DUKE

That is a good point actually, they likely don't therefore likely better beef for you and family
