Ground Beef Hits All Time High - Market is 3Xs Size Of Egg Market

You are a mindless minion of the anti-American Democrats. All you care about is votes you care NOTHING about making this country better for AMERICANS.
How are high gas prices and beef prices good for America ? You whiny btches were so upset about eggs now everything is higher and it’s just patriotic to pay more. It’s crazy.

Playing dumb it is, then.

Kinda sad. You used to be better than this.
Come on. You came at me with supply and demand as if beef prices were easy to fix. That was your line of debate. I gave you a factual retort to why supply will be constrained for a long time and you pivoted to “high prices are good for ranchers”.

You guys spent years howling about prices and how they were gonna fall and they just went up.

If Trump came in and lowered prices and avoided wars like he promised I would be complaining about his unprofessional decorum, not his results. But his results are terrible and you guys just laugh it off and call it TDS to point out how he failed to deliver on anything.

What do you care? You're an EV driving, bug eating environmental wacko--- do as your master Greta ordered and start eating the bugs. Besides, beef comes from cows and cows fart, and cow farts are ruining the planet, so you better not let me catch you eating anymore ground beef or I'll cash out your membership card in the demo-wacko cult. You can look at the beef, but you just can't touch it.

Oh and, BTW, your own chart shows that current pricing is just following the same trend as it has followed for years going back to Biden and Obumma--- Trump hasn't caused anything.
Deflection. I drive a 4Runner Limited that gets 17MPG genius. My wife has a hybrid Lexus though so I guess we even out.

You obviously can’t read graphs. The rate of increase is exponential not a constant. Get some glasses.

Short term inconvenience for long term gains. Trump is changing the global landscape for the betterment of America and the free world. FIrst Venezuela, then Iran, now Cuba.

Our meats are full of chemicals. Either the animal has shots of who knows what or it's full of preservatives. No thanks. Free range no chemicals or pass.

He didn’t run on that and none of those were concerns of everyday Americans. None of them.

Wrong. We are only paying higher prices for the past month or so, give me a break. You make it sound like it has been 40 years. And we are paying it because Iran is screwing with the global oil supply, something they were planning to do for many years and have committed vast resources preparing to do otherwise they would not have been so ready to screw with the Strait, and they were only looking to do it worse and bigger once they got a nuke--- can you imagine if Iran had nuclear weapons to threaten the world with and to seize and hold hostage the global oil supply?

This is their unmistakable aim and intention and thank god Trump is doing something about it, so the problem isn't Trump, but the fact that no one else has been willing to address the issue and kept kicking the can down the road until Trump was finally forced to be the bad guy and act.

And at least we are paying higher prices now for something concrete, graphable and good, like a war with Iran to free up the oil supply and to try to finally stabilize the Middle East--- 4 years ago when we were paying similar prices and higher under Joe Biden, what were we paying those high prices for then? War? Nope. Must have been to help finance all those billions in theft being shipped out to Somalia and Ukraine.

4 years ago the supply chain was broken and Trump had OPEC cut 9M barrels a day. This year Trump also created the problem by attacking Iran.

No one voted for this. No one. That’s why Trumps approval is in the 20’s on these issues.

4 years ago the supply chain was broken
4 years ago the democrats broke the supply chain, it didn't just break itself.

This year Trump also created the problem by attacking Iran.
Iran created the problem. They have been building up a massive military and threatening the region and oil supply for 47 years bullying the planet to leave them alone while they continued to build themselves up with the clear intent to bully the region and the world. They left us no choice but to attack now while we still could lest they'd seized total control of all oil in the Gulf region.

No one voted for this. No one.
No one voted for Covid neither. No one. But we still got it, we got it for 4 years, not 4 months, and we got our world turned upside down over it far far worse than Iran. With Iran, we finally get peace and stability in the place most in need of it; with Covid, we got nothing but shit out of it.

Admit it, what you're really afraid of is if Trump's pressure on Iran WORKS, Iran recapitulates, oil prices drop, the economy rebounds, and Trump is carried on our shoulders in jubilant celebration, setting up a red wave in November.

I didn't say anything about anything being easy.So let's try to keep it on an honest and factual basis.

High beef prices are good for ranchers, but my point was not that. my point was that the high prices would lead to greater production. people who have let pastures sit will now want to start breeding or raising more beef, because they can get a better price for it. then, the shortage will be alleviated, and prices will go back down - and we will have more people to sell American beef to.

Yes that will take a few years. if all trump cared about was how the economy looked to the media during his administration, he would act in a much different way. instead, he is looking for the most good for the united states in the long term.

You guys spent years howling about prices and how they were gonna fall and they just went up.
I don't remember howling about that.So I guess you mean somebody else.

Following the logic that we shouldn't open the beef market in China to US suppliers because prices will go up for Americans would mean that we would want to somehow levy reverse tariffs to prevent people from selling their goods overseas so that prices would be lower for americans.

Or alternately, the logic would dictate that we never accept short term pain for long term gain. Forget that ranchers and those in the rancher's economic orbit, will thrive for the next decades. If prices are going to go up over the next two years, we ain't gonna do it. Same for opening china to U.S. autos, or anything else we manufacture or might start manufacturing again if we had the China market to sell to.

If our ancestors, who settled America and expanded outward, had gone by that "no pain for long term gain," rule. we would still be digging potatoes in ireland or plowing fields for the g******* of europe.

If Trump came in and lowered prices and avoided wars like he promised I would be complaining about his unprofessional decorum, not his results. But his results are terrible and you guys just laugh it off and call it TDS to point out how he failed to deliver on anything.
Would you praise his results if he lowered prices and avoided wars, or would you focus entirely on his demeanor and ignore his results?

Try to be honest if you can.

Considering the fact there was a severe drought in 2022 that effected pastures for grazing, and increasing costs for feed.....many ranchers culled their herds.

It takes 12-14 months for a heifer calf to reach breeding age, roughly 9 months gestation and give birth at around 2 years of age, then 2 to 3 years to slaughter.........so it takes 4 to 5 years for ranchers to increase the herds and get them to market. We're not quite there yet so yes prices are high. Not the first time & won't be the last.

Search Assist.....

Ranchers have faced the need to cull herds due to high feed costs particularly during 2022, when drought conditions significantly impacted forage availability and increased feed prices. This situation forced many cow-calf producers to make difficult decisions regarding their herds.

Strategic Culling for Cowherds to Cope with Drought or High Feed Costs | UNL Beef | Nebraska

And then.......with higher beef prices, consumers then turn to cheaper options like chicken & pork and with that higher demand, the price for those also go up.

Ya'll can keep pointing fingers at the other guy in charge, and while their policies may have SOME impact on prices, it's not ALL anyone's fault. Shit happens behind the scenes that most people don't want to see

Don't worry, beef prices and other prices as well should start coming down within the next year or so........just because those herds are ready for market, not because of who's in office

Mmm .. I wonder what effect millions upon millions of illegal aliens during the Biden years had on meat prices, gasoline prices and such.. 🤔 .. and how is THAT Trump's fault?

While conservatives pulled the emergency cords on Eggs they maintain silence over the cost of Beef hitting all time highs under Trump. The egg market, $51B is significantly smaller than the US Beef Market, $161B.

Welcome to spiking gas prices, record beef prices, record bread prices, rising mortgage rates, and broken promises.

Yes the Iran War is driving up prices.

How The Strait Of Hormuz Blockade Drives Up U.S. Beef Prices

Oh, oh.

Eggs were a minor issue compared to this beef shortage... what changed in your outlook on price increases? Hmm...
